Is anyone else not finding fleas?

oh my gosh. now that i'm seeing this thread, i am reminded that i haven't seen a flea on any of my villagers for a Very Long Time.

I think fleas appear on the villagers when you become more friendly toward them. It has something to do with building friendship.

I think it’s funny how even Drago the alligator gets fleas. I’ve noticed that if I release a flea (rather than keep/sell it) another one gets a flea within the next few days. It could be a coincidence though….

I never had any issues with fleas in any games, but what does that say about my villagers?🤔 I do however feel like the game always picks one creature or item that becomes insanely difficult to track down.

I restarted my island in the beginning of winter. I haven't seen a single flea yet so they must come out during the warmer months.

I believe they start appearing in April? So warmer months makes sense. When I first started playing it was also winter, and didn't start seeing fleas until it warmed up.

I didn't even notice them until I realized my villagers were talking strange, about being itchy.

I don’t see fleas very often. I restarted my second island last month and it’s in the Southern Hemisphere so summer is ending on that island. I saw a few fleas last month but only one so far this month.
