I'm a completionist, so to me, it is worth it. As for the golden watering can... It breaks, which means I'd rather save my gold nuggets than to craft one.
can you get 5 stars with some weeds around? i made the choice to have weed + stone path stepping stones, and i dont know if i wanna go around and empty allllll of my paths of weeds to get the 5 stars for a while lol
It's not worth it because you can make a lot more bells by having too many foreign fruit trees than you can by selling Jacob's Ladders to the Nooklings.
bit weird that they'd change the name of jacob's ladder now after all this time, but at least they're in the game! i didn't know that. that gives me something to work towards now i've been stable at 3 stars for quite some time, so it looks like i should start working a bit more on my island.
Welp, I did it. My island hit 5 stars this evening, the right way. I was first stuck on needing decorations, so went with 20 leaf piles, and scattered them around my orchards. Isabelle then said more trees, so I scattered 12 fruit trees around my island. She finally said flowers, so I added, I'd say, an additional 60 (got the final Nook Stamp for flower planting). Went back, and she delivered the wonderful news.
I'm thrilled I got it, I'm thrilled to see Jacob's Ladders again, and I'm thrilled that I didn't sacrifice the organic nature of ExIsle to make it happen.
And yes, I crafted the golden watering can, just like I crafted the golden slingshot. I also have the first Nook's upgrade, as I don't time travel.
I have a weird suspicion that villagers are less likely to want to move out if you have a higher rated town. Take this with a grain of salt, but I am the only one in my groups that I talk to with a 5 star town and I also have the hardest time getting villagers to leave. I had to go about 40 days after my first villager left to get my second to leave. It's worth noting!
All in all though, I am unsure if I really love where my town ended up. I used to have more than 700 trees, and I had to cut down to 220 to make Isabelle happy. Love the forest look. Oh well!
Hmm, so to get to 5 stars you just keep going back to Isabelle until she’s happy? Right now she’s saying more flowers in mine
Also do you need 10 villagers? I’m at 9 and want to keep it that way for a bit.
I’m a little confused as isabelle says I need more shops but I already have the two available ones so I don’t know what I’m supposed to do to get past three stars
I'm currently 4 stars and Isabelle told me I have too much clutter (all the recipes everywhere!) and that I need to decorate the town. I like a more natural island so I now need to focus on just placing furniture outside. And getting rid of my recipes. Haha
The lily of the valley flowers are so pretty!
Also, how do you sell non native fruit for a lot of bells?
I definitely think it's worth it and I plan on having lots of Lily of the Valley flowers all around my town, but I'm not in a rush to get it. I am building my town at a pretty slow pace but making it perfect so I don't ever want to go back and change everything.
