I just saw the specs on Apple's website. I found out it has 3 sensors, a video camera, 800 by 920 pixels resolution screen, an Apple A4 chip, extended battery life, a new design, 5 MP camera with an LED flash, 720p video recording, and a new OS called iOS 4. What sucks is that pricing is the same $199- $299 price tag with $69 starting bill. I hope they lower it someday.
Ouch. At the moment, I'm not a millionaire. Brb, gonna go win lottery.

In all seriousness though, I might get it when the price gets to a semi reasonable level.

This

I have had my Blackjack II for over a year now so im past due for an upgrade, but I think I am going to wait for this to come out... xD

Just for the record, there is hardly any other phones that come even close to how smooth the the iPhone runs, and operates and do as many things as it does. So people, that im not going to name *cough* HeartGold *cough* can stop pathetically trolling and shove it up their ass, and stop being a *censored.3.0*ing moron.

Thank you, have a good day.

There are so many better phones.
Name one phone that can do everything that iPhone 4 can do. Oh wait...you can't, 'cause there is no phone that can! iPhone 4 does practically everything other phones can do, plus so much more, and so much better.

First of all, why would you even want a physical keyboard when you have a touch screen? It's so much simpler, and you don't have to deal with those tiny keys. Besides, iOS 4 supports Bluetooth keyboards, if you so desperately need one.

you're completely disregarding personal preferences.

"oh, hey, this is the best food ever!"

"nah, i don't like spicy food"

"why the *censored.3.0* not you uncultured swine, this food is just too good for you, omg"

on the comment of simpler, it doesn't exactly make sense. they're pretty much the same, accomplishing the same thing. if anything the touch keyboard is more complex.

and i don't have xbox hueg hands so tiny keys aren't a problem.

i do have to say they did a decent job of the design, it doesn't look so much like a goddamn toy now.

I respect personal preference, and I understand that some people might prefer a physical keyboard, but as for me, the iPhone's touch keyboard is so much better than a physical one. I've never, ever, ever liked any physical keyboard on a phone. The buttons are far too small, and the keyboard itself just makes the phone bigger, even if it slides out. Besides, with a virtual keyboard, you're not limited to an amount of physical keys. Not only does a virtual keyboard allow the keys to be bigger because there are keys that toggle through letters, numbers, and symbols, reducing the amount of keys on screen at once, but it also allows you to type with foreign language characters, like Japanese. Let's see you try to type Japanese on a phone with a physical keyboard.

don't need to, but if i do...

yep, one quick marketplace search and i can snag something for free that uses my touchscreen keyboard.

it's fun having options.

So it added video chat and a folder system?
That, plus so much more. The new Retina display (which makes iPhone 4 have the highest resolution of any mobile device ever, with pixels so small you can't even see them), multitasking, HD video recording, the ability to create and edit playlists, customizable home screen wallpaper, Bluetooth keyboard support, plus more.

Wait, are you saying that your phone has a touch screen keyboard and a physical keyboard? I understand that more options are good, but I certainly wouldn't want a physical keyboard taking up space on my phone if it already has a touch screen one.

Can't we just say that it boils down to user preference and leave it at that? Pretty pleaseeee? :)

That aside, iPhone 4 is going to be pretty neat, I'd say. That Retina display compliments the software very well. Hello, rich colored software. :P

I'm really happy for them making an awesome device, but it really doesn't seem like the largest jump since they first made the iphone... and if it is then they really haven't made many improvements in between :-p It does look like the engineering behind it improved... but otherwise it didn't get a huge software overhaul like the video made me think at first ;)

Either way though I would like one.... the pricing would be fine if there wasn't also a really expensive plan tagged onto it... I mean it is 30 extra dollars A MONTH than other phones on AT&T.... I don't have the money to re buy the iphone every year at that pricing, I mean it is more money than the iphone to get the full service for a year... so I can't get one :-(

You don't think that video calling is a huge jump? Even if they just added FaceTime, it would be a huge jump, not only for the iPhone, but for all phones. Video calling is the future of phones, and it all starts with iPhone 4. But Apple didn't stop there. They added the Retina display, multitasking, HD video recording and editing, the great new design, better battery, the A4 chip, and so much more. If that's not a huge leap forward, then I don't know what is.

Also, the data plan has dropped to $15 for 200MB per month, or $25 for 2GB per month. 65% of AT&T iPhone users don't go over 200MB in a month, so if you're one of those 65%, your data plan could only be $15 if you wanted.

My phone has a physical keyboard and a touch, and I much prefer physical. I have huge hands. I seriously can barely hold the PS3 controller, because it's so small. I actually think it's harder to hit touch keyboards with big hands. The one thing I like about physical is that I get a confirmation on the letter I hit by the clicking of the keys.

Video call has been around for at least 5 years now... no big revolution...

Also: It costs a damn fortune and its blurry and laggy as hell and you look like a fool walking through a shopping centre with your phone held in front of your face.

Your phone's touch screen keyboard must have small keys, then. The iPhone's touch screen keyboard has fairly large keys.
