Yeah, that's called the "ModBook". It literally is a MacBook or MacBook Pro. Basically, you just send your MacBook into the company and they'll rip off the screen and keyboard panel and slap on their touch screen and tweak a few things to make it work better.

Weird thing about it is that Apple actually approves of them. Also, I don't think they've starting offering the modifications for the new unibody models, since they're probably complicated to pull it off with, considering the design is backwards to the older MacBooks.

What do I think of the iPad? I like how it looks aesthetically, however I don't know if I'd pay 500 bucks for it.

However, I do think that the iPad will be used for ways other then what it was meant for, which should be interesting to see. I think since it doesn't support flash, we'll be seeing a lot of HTML5 stuff for the iPad (and possibly the iPhone.)

That really didn't make much sense whatsoever.

As for the iPad, if it ran OS X, not iPhone OS, it would be 5 times better.

I don't see why so many people complain about no Flash, other than those who use it for games. Flash websites are a joke (not to say some aren't impressive), and using Flash to provide a video player provides poor results. The H.264, and to a lesser extent, OGG formats provide much better quality, since that is their purpose.
Flash is for vector objects, and works best with them.

It's looking like iPhone OS 4 may be including Flash in some form, though, since a video on Apple's website demoing the iPad shows Flash content.

That comparison would make sense if the iPad were a tablet. =p Also, the device is widescreen and there's still a chance of multi-tasking. Apple hasn't even shown any more of iPhone OS 4 other than the bits of iPad demos, and yet everyone assumes everything about it.

It can do youtube, but it opens it in a quicktime thingy...

You can use YouTube without Flash, since all their videos are encoded in H.264 format, and they allow those versions to be viewed by anyone. The mobile version of YouTube only plays those videos, and the HTML5 beta also allows for it. There's also the YouTube application for viewing YouTube videos, just like in all previous versions of the OS.

But flash is more widely used...

Being more widely used doesn't make something better... Hopefully web developers will turn away from Flash as it becomes less and less supported. That's what should have happened to a lot of older, obsolete formats, like GIF images.
