I haven't played since gamecube, getting back into the game. I am currently at the level 3 house (398k loan), have an island slowly being dedicated to cherrys, oranges, apples, just looking for other good sources of income. I fish and catch insects at night and sell in the morning , and do other little objectives . Thanks for any input.

Turnips are a good way!

Otherwise selling hot items/items of the day are a good way in making money as well if it's an easy thing to craft.

Other sources of income, for sure: repeated fossils you may have and can't donate, turnips, money rock, glowing spot, keep an eye out for yellow balloons (usually have bells ranging from 3k and 10k), money trees (from the glowing spot).
