In all honesty I think Raymond is interesting

he’s aight. his eyes are cool but i’m not really into his office aesthetic.

do i think i’m better, different and quirky for not buying into the hype? nah, that’s just silly, and that also goes for when people claim you’re “basic” for liking him or any other popular villager

Most of the people hating on him are the ones who just want to be contrary to the popular opinion. Not only is his design interesting, but he makes me smile every time I see him in my town!

It sounds kinda funny but I was forced to take Raymond(he was my "mandatory"camper).Smug is one of my favorite personality types in AC and I've had a lot of them in New Leaf and now in New Horizons and Raymond has definitely been one of the better ones.He has a good dose of that smug goofy/pretentious quality.

I think raymond is super cute when he opens his mouth and you see his cute little fangs. <3 but i guess that's a cat villager trait, not just a raymond trait!

His appearance reminds me of Toby from "The Office" and I don't think heterochromia is a personality trait anywhere but in bad anime, but I don't hate him either. Like, I don't see the fuss, but I also don't need to because no one's making me adopt him. Thank god.

Don’t not get a villager you love because you don’t want to be like everyone else. If you truly like Raymond, go for it!

Big agree. There are so many crappy threads and comments about “low tier” villagers and how ugly and bad they are and no one blinks, but if anyone voices that they don’t think a very popular villager is great, all of a sudden some fans develop a persecution complex.

LOL i spend 380 tickets and didnt meet him, end up i got Monty auto fill by Tom Nook. I was like ok just we dont have a fate to meet each other. Then later when Monty moved out, i forgot to go island for searching new one and guess what.... Raymond auto fill in that spot LOL

I had Raymond on my island and I actually enjoyed all his colours, especially the grey fur. I didn't dig his house being an office though. Office furniture isn't very exciting lmao

He's slightly interesting in a sense that I like him wearing glasses and a business outfit, but I'd put him below Marshal and Julian as I'm not really a cat person.

I'm not much into him, I don't like the whole boring office thing, there are so many cool and cute villager houses and ik you barely go into their house but it says a lot about their personality and I'm not so much into that, he looks alright with his eyes they are cool and unique but I dont like his facial expression and the business thing, doesn't feel fun especially on an island in the middle of nowhere

I like him simply because he looks a lot like my real life cat. He was one of the first visitors I got and invited him from my campsite not knowing how popular he is. I don't see why people hate him, he's so adorable!

I think he's cute, I just wouldn't want him since there are about four or five smugs that I like more than him.
Maybe it's because this is the only AC site I'm using, but I never really see that much hype? Sure, people say there's hype around him and he seems to be very sought after on Youtube, but it doesn't seem that over the top to me ...? In fact, Raymond isn't even the one I see most people having out of the new villagers, that would be Sherb. And I honestly very much prefer Raymond over Sherb, but to each their own.
