So, after buying a pink tank from GracieGrace, I realized that not only did I have no use for it, I bought it just because it was there.
Not that I haven't picked up the occasional "girl" piece- I even get the "girl" haircuts (because there's no boys style with long hair, sob sob) but I feel like I just make weird impulse purchases like this all the time. Clothes I don't wear, furniture that doesn't match anything, accessories I would never wear, ever...
I decided one time to grind for the refurbishing badge. I got so used to buying stuff from T&T, running to Re-Tail and getting stuff refurbished that even after I had gotten gold, I kept doing it for about three weeks. But that's more conditioning than anything else.
For the rest I just buy stuff that looks cool or that I'd like a villager to use.
i'm a horder. i purchase loads of things i think, oh maybe one day that would look fantastic somewhere. that's why my house is a hodgepodge of random things, someday this would look good.
ughhhhhh. i feel as though my home will never be complete because everything interests me for no reason!
Yeah... I do it a lot too... :x I guess it's good though because it helps contribute towards catalogue badges, but I think I buy everything to make sure that if at any point I want something in my house and think of something I need, I at least know I can go through my catalogue and reorder anything I might want later, that is assuming it's reorderable.
I do stuff like that all the time, although I have cut down on it significantly as my town just became a landfill. Clearing it up quite nicely now! I don't know why I do it, I just do.
I'm like Skyfall. In the real world, I'm a horrible penny pincher. However, when you put pixels in front of me I can't seem to stop. Oh, that horribly colored baby bed? Got it. A green panda with bamboo? Somehow that shall fill the void! -shot- I think it's because I'm new to the game so when I'm given permission to explore my friend's fully upgraded stores I think I'll never see that item again. My weakness is cute things. AC:NL is cuteness in a nutshell.
YES.
Once it was even so bad, I had no storage space, so I spent about a week with litter galore on my beaches until I finally went through my thing.
Now the problem is back (better though)
I do this all the time, mostly with random furniture. >_> I usually have a plan for it in mind, like "if I ever design this kind of room then this item will be perfect", but the other excuse that I tell myself is that even if I never end up using it, it'll be in my catalogue.
Usaully I buy things I think will look good in my house or clothes for my mayor I might need for a fashion check. In the beginning before qrs I had a TON of clothes but now I'm slowly whittling it down. When I find I new item I like more than an item in my closet I just swap them and give them to my villagers as a present in the mail or sell it at retail
I always buy stuff that I haven't cataloged. Trying to get the last catalog badge.. I think it's 80%? >.<
So I check shops everyday and buy lots of random stuff xD..
I usually sell it right back to Timmy or Retail or send it to villagers if I think it would look good on them or good in their house.. C:
I own the game for a year now, so I bought all the furniture sets from Gracie. However, this summer I was a bit to eager and I bought the same lamp 4 times..... I planted them in every corner of the room, but now u need sunglasses when you go in there.
Oh yeah, I know the feels. I just bought a bunch of food items(DLC), it cost me about 1k TBT. Am I going to be able to put all of them out?! No way! My excuse is: "I'm gonna cycle through them. One day I'll do these, one day I'll do those"
*sigh* I even ended up giving some of them to my mom...
