I treat everyone with respect and care and they continue to disappoint me every step of the way. I give them gifts, I write them letters, I do every favors imaginable for them and all I ask of them is not to bore me to death and they can't even do that!

When I walk through town I feel so lonely. Like I see them outside and if they didn't exist, it would still be the same feeling. But it would at least be a net positive because I wouldn't have to spend more than 1 millions bells to relocated their house twice.

They don't need me, in fact they probably don't care if I exist. At least in New Leaf, I was needed and respected. My dreamies on the other hand write letters to me often and are always making me laugh and their dialogues aren't often repeats.

Even the good looking villagers like Marina and Lobo continue to disappoint me time and time again. I don't need you to rely on me but I need you to have some sort of charisma, something that makes you tick! Be mean to me, do something!

I don't even understand the point of even having normal villagers? They are nice but no where as nice as Uchi and no where as charming and funny as Uchi villagers. Normal villagers have zero personalities.

I'm slowly feeling flashback of New Leaf personalities in most of my villagers. I'm spending less time logging in game because of how New Leaf...ish these villagers are.

I much prefer having 3 dreamies and open space than a bunch of house made of deadwood.

On my old island I actually had unique villagers. Muffy and Drift were so fun to talk to despite not being part of my dreamy list. Then I got Cranston and he made me laugh so much. I believe he is dsylexic but that just add to his charm. He also say dumb things that are funny which is kind of like me. And then I got my teddy bear in Olive. Oh I love that girl!

Looks matter a lot to me but personality matter more in the long run. You can't be good looking and have the personality of a doormat. Likewise you can't be ugly and have a good personality but at least I would respect you more because you are making the most of what you are given.

I gave them 3 weeks to get more dialogues from them and they are all flat out worthless!

Talk to them 3 or 4 times every time you see them, not just one. You'll be surprised.

I do and they still disappointed. I have Stu for example not only is he lazy and STUpid, but he also dirty at the same time. He never changes his clothes and is always full of fleas. Like have some dignity, you are living on Stellaria and not some random hick town.

And I got him because of my past history with Cows. Tipper and Angus were great well made cow. Stu on the other hand is like the absolute opposite.

if you increase your friendship with them, they'll be more engaging

I have. I talk to them multiple times per day and as much as I talk to my dreamy. Meaning I talk to them more than 4 times each time I talk to them.

Even the force smug villager Graham that I don't like, I find that he actually has personality as a total "i'm the best thing that ever live" sort of vibe. And as such he no longer my least favorite villagers.

I honestly don't understand why people are so mad at the villagers in this game. In my opinion theyre a lot better than new leaf ones and, even between the same personality type, things feel unique per villager in my opinion.
I have 4 lazies, it was an accident. Stitches and Rodeo were a part of my first 5, Punchy i got later on and Sherb i got yesterday. I love Stitches and Punchy to death and talk to them almost every day, but when Sherb moved in hes already used dialogue that ive never even heard any of my 3 other lazies say. Whether thats a coincidence or not i dont know but it never happened in new leaf. Sure, repeated dialogue will always be a thing. Sure, they might feel a little bit boring and bland sometimes. They're NPCs, idk what else you expect.
You have to use your imagination and make your own fun, form your own friendships, give them their own personalities. Their dialogue will support you doing that, as it has with mine. Pashmina has almost become like my support-goat as she's always asking me if im ok and giving me advice on things, Punchy's the laid-back guy who for some reason will not stop naruto running for like 20 minutes and then crying to me that he ate too many snacks lol. Its imagination-based, if you think too hard about their repeated dialogue and the fact that theyre not real then the magic is lost sadly
Big fat opinion right there ^

also whether this is a joke or not i dont care i want to share my opinion let me hAVE THIS

Lol, the characters in Harvest Moon gives me maximum of two different dialouges each time I talk to them and even that excites me.

I feel very connected to them, not as much as in ww tho (but to be fair, in ww I was a young kid who made up my friendships and would spam the poor animals). Probably also because I focus more on the landscaping side of the game now than i did before and won’t give them as much attention.

Imagine complaining about your villagers not being nice to you and in the same post bad-mouthing the Normal villagers, who are by far the nicest

Aren't all of the villagers really nice though? I mean, yeah, some can be really annoying but they're not as abrasive as the GC edition. Not to mention the cranky villagers have watered down to being more "dad"-like and the snooty villagers are more like high-class women.

I mean, I kinda wish there was more to the dialogue like I said in ACNH rant thread where they talk about about their skills, their goals/future career, and say lines that kinda fit their zodiac. It would make them seem more interesting and more unique.

Lol i also have Stu but he rarely gets fleas, unlike my other villagers. His birthday is coming up soon, try gifting him a shower or something and hope he gets the hint XD

How are things going on with Whitney? having her around should make things feel better until the other villagers you dont like decide to leave.

I completely disgree. Agnes, who is Uchi, says smirk remarks like "Ug. You again? Do I need a different island to get away from you"

Normals are like "Hiiii!!!! I am so happy you came to talk to me! :3 "

On the small chance this isn't written in satire, I honestly think it may be a good time to take a step back from the game and maybe consult with a therapist if you have one. If you don't, I fully recommend getting one and I think you may benefit greatly from having someone to talk to.
