I'm A Boy With A Girl Character

I don't think it's weird. I'm a girl that plays as a boy but I just have girls in Pokey and I have a boy and a girl in Mew (that are made to look like twins, Aly and Alex).

I'm a girl. I play as a girl in AC but in the most of other games I play as a boy. My bf plays as girl for almost every game. I think anyone who judge people by gender of their characters in games pobably just have some problems in their life.

Nothing wrong with either or, I always played as dudes in Harvest Moon before girls were an option (same with Rune Factory) and it was still super fun<3 Though I prefer playing as girls haha xD I see absolutely nothing wrong, some people may have thought up a character with an opposite gender. I see no harm in enjoying both sides of the field with clothing and whatnot<:

I have a girl character and a boy character in my town. It is fun to see how different animals react to them. For example, the Kappn's songs change. Yay more fun sea shanties! :)

I have 2 towns. LuvLilac has a female mayor & 3 female characters while Jayhawk has a male mayor and 3 male characters. I had it this same way back when I played WW.

I don't think it's weird at all, if you're happy with it. I thought about making my 4th character a boy, because he always was a boy when I was resetting. lol, it's just because it was always easier to push AAAAA all the way through the whole Rover speech, so for camp/plot resetting, I'd end up being a boy. But in the end, I went with girl, so there are 4 girls in town. I just think girls are more fun to be/dress and cuter. :p

Having said all that, I have played with people before who had, for example, a girl mayor, but their mii was a boy, and I just treated them like a girl, since there's still no way to tell even with the mii. They could also be using someone else's DS. I've even been bff's with someone, and never asked them about what they were IRL...I figure they chose the gender of their character for a reason, and if they wanted to, they would tell me they were a boy or girl IRL.

I do that all the time in various games. Idk girl characters generally look better than male characters and have better clothing/styling/customization in general options.

Plus who doesnt like a girl that can kick some serious butt (:

I have a boy and girl character. I'll admit, I feel anxious about being judged for having a boy character, but I find it a lot of fun. I originally created my boy character because I wanted someone to wear clothes that I designed for boys. The conversations with different characters are interesting (especially Kapp'n).

If I make any more characters, I'll end up with two guys, and another girl since my mayor is already a female. All guys or gals would get pretty boring, I'd think. You don't always get to choose the gender of your characters. In ACNL you do, so choose as you please. Besides, how many players make their mayor look exactly like themselves? Not many, myself being one of the few I suppose.

did i just put buy omg

HA.

I've seen tons of guys play as girls cause it seems like they have more options in terms of clothes.

Pretty much for this reason. Though I have traded with some mayors in the past who were guys but wore dresses. Hey, more power to you! It's your game, you can be whoever you chose to be.
