Girls for me too, guess one of the reasons is cause I'm a girl and the other being that my favorite villagers are girls.
My villagers would have to be: Flora, Phoebe, Ankha, Soliel, Becky, Rosie, Cherry, Peanut, Aurora and Sprinkle

All boys. On the whole the male personalities are generally a lot more entertaining and more interesting than the female personalities. I think I would get bored pretty fast with an all girls town.

Giiirls I love so many of the girl villagers. Plus they're already the majority in my town (6:4)

I'd keep my current six (Maple, Gladys, Hazel, Tammi, Willow, Mallary) and get probably Fuchsia, Yuka, Ruby, and either Bettina or Skye

They need to mix personalities between genders in the next game. I don't see whats wrong w/ females being jocks and males being normal.

Also this!! Personalities shouldn't be tied to gender.

As much as I adore Cranky, Jock, and Smug villagers, the Uchis are handsomely rugged and gritty enough to accomplish anything I would need men for. Need a pickle jar opened? Find an uchi. Can't reach something? Find an uchi. Need someone to spot you while you lift weights? You know Renee has you covered. Need people to show up to an all tuxedo party? Pashmina will not only showed up fully decked out with tails, but she will look outright dashing. Need a soulmate? Agnes is here for you. Need fatherly advice? Uh, well, you might actually want to consult a Snooty for that.

Girls. I like all personality types but ones that girl villagers have are the best. In terms of the designs I like, I think that girl villagers outnumber the boy villagers too.

That said, both are awesome and I think it would be boring to have only 3 or so personality types in your town.

Female, since I need Gladys in my town. I'd probably have Gladys, Queenie, Fauna, Willow, Deirdre, Phoebe, Peanut, Merry, Kiki, and Rosie. I would miss Rudy, lazies, and smugs a ton though.

Hmm, hard choice. As much as I love peppies, it's the only female personality I really really like.
While I adore my normal, snooty and uchi, I like male personalities better. Furthermore I like variety, so I'm going to choose the boys

My town would probably consist of Fang, Papi, Sterling, Marshal, Colton, Bruce, Elvis, Kidd, Hamlet, and Goose.
