Would you rather use it to outright buy your dreamies from other people? Or would you risk island hopping in the hopes of running into them?

I can't decide. Part of me wants to experience islands because I barely got the chance to do it. But I also want to guarantee that I DO run into a specific villager... I know 600 might not be enough for that though... ahhhh i don't know. What would you guys do?

Island hopping. I don’t like buying villagers from other people unless I’m really desperate, I find it more satisfying to get them on my own (even if it is a huge pain lol). But if you don’t care about that, using the NMTs to buy your dreamie(s) is the safer bet.

I'd try to buy them off someone. I traded for all of my villagers. It's easier and there are a lot of kind people who just want to give someone their dreamies. Of course, if you're looking for raymond it might be a bit harder to find, but otherwise you'd almost definitely be able to buy any villager for 600 nmt, except maybe some of the other new ones if bidding gets out of hand.

i used amiibos for most of mine, but i'd definitely island hop! i really like grindy games tbh and the added bonus of getting diys + the chance of rare flowers and such makes it worth it! plus when i was island hopping sometimes i'd fall in love with a villager i hadn't planned on getting and brought them home which was always a nice surprise

buy them, 100%. 600 tickets sounds like a lot but it may not be enough to find whoever you're looking for, and it's absolutely miserable to see your ticket count keep going down as you visit more and more islands and you still haven't found them, at least from my experience.

Ahh ok. Tbh, I'm a bit worried about trying to trade with other people - especially when it involves a lot of tickets. I randomly read about people's bad experiences and it's usually enough to scare me off lol

I'd use them to get my dreamies, considering the ones I need left wouldn't be that expensive.

I'd pay outright. I don't want to spend that time and then have my dreamies not show up.

Let"s see.. I had that many tickets sometime ago and went island hopping to look for Whitney. I found her at 155th ticket. Wish I could have gotten her earlier but I'm not complaining. What's more important is I finally got her. I also saw lots of tier 1 and 2's along the way including new villagers like Raymond, Audie, Judy, and Dom. I mean, I wasn't even that close of using all the tickets.

Very true :)

Honestly, I would pay. I don't have the patience to waste hundreds of NMT for the "chance". I don't like grinding. I only use NMT if I wasn't looking for anyone in particular, and had a spot to fill and just wanted to see who was out there - let the randomness of the game take me where it will. Sometimes you discover the best people that way.

Island hop, no doubt. I love island hopping, I greet and take photos with everyone. It saddens me that we can't meet random villagers from time to time even if we don't have the ability to invite them, the islands feel empty without some random cat or squirrel walking around.

But 600 are too many tickets, so perhaps use some to get some friend's dreamies (I'm not a saint, I just don't have a dreamie list, I tried to make it but I can't) and the rest, like 100, to island hop.

i honestly wouldn't trade for over 400 nmt unless they let you adopt the villager before bringing the rest. idk exactly how people do it but i think it'd be kinda sketchy if they made you get the rest because they could easily close their gates. if anyone who has traded more than full pockets worth of nmt did it differently and it worked out let me know (i got all my higher tiered villagers from nice people who gave them to me for lower prices or like wishlist items and things so i never had to really deal with that)

island hop. i sold raymond to island hop. it's fun, and i can also get my friends dreamies. i have the amiibo for everybody i want but still haven't used them bc i love island hopping

I don't time travel, so I'm rarely in a position in which I have available space for a new villager. I'd probably sell a few of them (via discord), and use a few if I needed resources, and then save the rest for the future.

I'd try island hopping first, but if I couldn't find them after 10+ islands I'd probably just try to buy them off of Discord.

I'd island hop personally. I have too many villagers I like, so chances are, I'd find one I would be thrilled to have, even using only 30 NMT.
