I would have more normal villagers for sure. They just tend to have designs that appeal to me most, but I'm trying to limit myself to 2 - 3 maximum so I have room for the other personalities!
I currently have Stella and Kiki, and I would love to get my hands on Coco as well. If I had these extra 5 slots, Meringue, Annalisa, Bea, Lily, and Poppy would absolutely be invited if I saw them on an island!
But for now, I will just have to pass them over unless I change my mind on Coco or one of my current normals.

My currently planned 10 villagers are Ankha, Annalisa, Bella, Diva, Kabuki, Klaus, Pekoe, Sprocket, Tucker, and Vic.
I sort of want to replace Diva with Dobie because all of my other residents, aside from her, are intended to be representative of world history of the past, present, and future (Sprocket serving as an allusion to potential improvements in robotics and cybernetics, so he's the "future") and I have Ankha already for Egypt, so Diva and her Egyptian-themed house feels redundant unless I go with a "what was old is new again" sort of angle. Meanwhile, Dobie fits better for me since his house's interior design makes me think of him as being a historian himself, due to all of the books. The thing I grapple with is that I need a Sisterly villager for all my player characters to be able to get the Reactions they offer and Diva was the only Sisterly I hadn't used already that I liked enough to want to use in New Horizons.
As far as who I'd bring in if I could have five more villagers is concerned, I guess I'd go with the following:
- Diva/Dobie, whichever one I end up dropping for the above stated reasons.
- Bud, because he was my original planned Jock before I decided on the world history theme and decided to replace him with Sprocket.
- Lionel, because I like his design and he's never fit into any of my other towns' themes.
- Monique, because her design invokes Marilyn Monroe.
- #5 is iffy, but probably Beardo because his Detective Outfit in New Leaf makes me think of him as a detective, specifically a Sherlock Holmes sort of late 19th century detective. If not him, either Melba to represent Australia or Audie just because I like her the most of all the New Horizons newcomers.

Gives me two Nature which I'm missing, two Fashion which I'm missing, and another Music which is the best. Gives me 5 animal types I don't have. That'd be four Crankies, though, which is excessive.

It's such a bittersweet thing to think about because I was CONVINCED that we were going to get 12 villagers, since there were 8 players. I had my dreamy list down based on that assumption so it was so painful to have to let that go! :,)
