If there's ever DLC, what do you think it might entail?

So I know that games like Luigi's Mansion and Splatoon release DLC's every now and then.
Do you think AC would ever do that?
If so, what do you think it could entail and would you be willing to pay for it?
I'd personally love a bigger island with more villager plots, and the ability to get access to some more Pocket Camp furniture that I acquired.

Hmm. Maybe added multiplayer features, like mini game islands or maybe an additional mini island, like on GCN where you can have 2 extra villagers and set another home.

If it was something good like the Octo expansion and didn't come out for at least a year I would totally buy it. I'm not exactly sure what I would want until I see all of this years updates roll out but I'm open to it if it's new content worth buying.

Things I would hate would be things like renaming your character or island (because there is literally no reason to charge people for that it's not a new feature it's letting you do something they blocked you from doing), selling currency, or selling off small sets of furniture. If they add in Loot Box style anything that costs real money I'm never buying one of their games again but I don't think they will.

I remember reading somewhere that the packaging for NH said there would be in game purchases available. I'm sure they will add it to make some extra cash. It'll probably be things like special furniture sets, events, clothing, hair, and island decorations. Perhaps unbreakable tools?

I have a dream I call the Earthquake DLC. You wake up one morning and Isabelle tells you there's been an earthquake in the middle of the night! Nothing has been damaged but your island is now bigger, with 2 more acres both horizontally and vertically! With the new room, you can have 2 more villagers move to your island! In addition, there is a small hole in one corner of your island that you can climb down and visit the Island Rescue Headquarters

Dungeons mini games - no enemies just destroy rock and drop down, or geysers that will bring you back up. Mr resetti will be there. Requires a nook mining ticket. Rewards will be gems that you can craft special gem theme furnitures clothings fences etc. Rarer gems can only be found on lower floors. Its grindy and rng but I think it can be fun... i think? ;-;

Label/Gracie’s Fashion Show - more like an event (maybe once every season) dress up the villagers for the specific themes for the fashion show. Rewards fashion show furnitures, clothing or manequins (villager manequin, animal vilager manequins etc)

I guess this is not really dlc worthy (gonna need more content on dlc) but more like wishes of mine they’d maybe add on updates.

I think about this, except that theres a volcano that erupted nearby and the lava is creating new land near our island thus making more area

If there’s going to be a DLC, I hope it’s something really big in order for me to buy it. For example, all the old furniture from the old games along with furniture from Pocket Camp. I would also like to see more villager plots. It just has to have a lot of practical content for me to be okay with it.

I would actually love to see all the NPC's live on our Island in one form or the other (so at least we could always see them when we want to.

I'm really hoping for minigames with multiplayer like the island from NL and new villager updates, possibly some restriction updated for multiplayer allowances.

I think we would have either an island expansion into a new area via the dock oooorrrr maybe the ability to travel to strange islands with new types of flowers/fruit/fish from the PC game! (I just want some of those pretty flowers nintendo please)

I think most DLC will involve "Theme Packages"...

For example a new villager, as well some clothing and furniture sets that go along with that villager.

There's also a lot of furniture sets we're still missing from the other games.
So I wouldn't be surprised if they saved those as DLC and tossed a price tag on them.

I think the mostly likely DLC will be something akin to Tortimer's Island tours, and perhaps an island expansion pass to allow you more space and villagers.

But to be honest, I'd only pay for AC DLC if it added in villagers or shops totally new to the franchise. I think it would be silly to charge players for shops, minigames, NPCs, and holidays that were included on release day in previous titles--all of which were $40 and below on launch, as opposed to the $60 charged for New Horizons.

I’d gladly pay for DLC, but I don’t ever see them doing that. I think if they ever did it would be island themed, obviously, but as to what, your guess is as good as mine.
I’d love to be able to swim and go on island tours with friends!
