If I kick out a villager and replace with an amiibo one..

Is it going to place its house on the spot I kicked out my villager's house or do I have to inevitably plot reset.?

Not always. Most of mine have, but two didn't

Much of the time it does but there are instances where it doesn't. Unless you have every single space in your town blocked off, best to be safe and plot reset!

Well, it might because there are no paths there. And villagers will plot where there are free space if you have paths laying around town.

I think it's about the same likelihood as getting a villager through adoption. Both times I've used an amiibo card to move someone in they didn't move into anywhere near the space where the kicked out villager's house was.

Yep just tried it. It didnt go in the same spot.
