I've just gotten another game, and before I start on anything, I really wanted to be prepared. Here's what I'm thinking for my town so far:

The town name is Rosmarin and the mayor is Ilse (pron. ill-sah). It's going to have an Austrian Countryside theme and will have the apple as the town fruit. (It's the national fruit of Austria!) My villagers are going to have a natural color scheme (meaning colors that would be plausible for their species) and will either be an animal that is a common pet or an animal found in the countryside. Here's who I'm thinking for that:

Kiki, Erik, Chief, Vivian, Marshal, Maddie, Elmer, Stella (I know she's purple but she's the closest one to my theme who I also like), Chevre, and Claude.

What PWPs, starts and paths do you think would suit a town like this? I don't expect anyone to list specific paths, but it would be great for just an idea of what to look for! And do you think the villagers would be okay for my town? Thank you so much for all your help, I really appreciate it!

Maybe Kyle too cause wolves can technically be brown. Maybe he can be a coyote haha do those even live in Australia? I've never seen a white squirrel, thou now that I think about it, the rest of the squirrels are all bright colored.

For paths, probably a beaten worn dirt path, natrual or a QR beaten dirt path.

For PWPs maybe a log bench, water well and a fire pit. Hope this was helpful~

Thank you so much! I love Kyle, he's one of my favorites. I don't think coyotes live in Austria, but he could still work! :D I was thinking of using Blaire as a squirrel instead, since she's grey, but I didn't love any of the other smug villagers relative to my theme so I went with Marshal.

Thank you for the path and PWP suggestions also!

The scarecrow and the rice pwp
I also really like broffina :)

Aww Broffina's so cute! I think those PWPs would work great, thanks so much!

Along with the Scarecrow and Rack of Rice that another user mentioned, I believe these all work very well with a countryside town. :>

- Hammock
- Bell
- Wood/Yellow Bench
- Picnic Blanket
- Brick/Suspension Bridge
- Fence
- Streetlight (maybe?)
- Water Well
- Flower Bed
- Water Pump
- Lighthouse
- Windmill

Hopefully this is helpful!

It's super helpful, thank you so much! Those would look so lovely with my town <3

Morino suggested most of the PWPs I was thinking of, but the wisteria trellis would be very pretty with your theme too.

The statue fountain is pretty, and could work in either a landscaped park or tucked into wilderness, as though it was an abandoned garden.

Ooh that's a good idea! I could totally see that work, thanks!

Also, if anyone happens to be looking at this, I'm still unsure of what starts I should use to line my paths. I was thinking azaleas, hydrangeas and holly.

I think it really depends on what season you want to have the town in. Since Moriyo and Treehut are seasonally updated, I arranged the towns starts so that there would always be some bloomed lining the paths nice and neatly. However with my next town Secret, I'm going to mainly use hydrangeas with some accents of holly or sweet olive cause one of those is a darker green leaf color.

Make a villager house that is the general store. Where people went to buy everything from their wagon wheels to their bread. And use a mannequin with one of those old-timey aprons. Throw some music in there like KK Country.

Different animal villagers will work well to. I know Kiki is my avatar lol, but she works well and has KK Country. Also a horse. I have Buck, but the inside of his house doesn't really scream country and more like slob.
