The lease on my studio apartment is ending soon and I like to pretend that I have the funds to move out. In a more financially forgiving world, I live in one of the Painted Ladies in San Francisco, CA. (Think back to the row of houses in the opening credits of Full House) They're not too big, but enough space to start a family.

So what does your ideal home look like?

Ideally I'd be okay with a two bedroom place with a small yard. I don't need anything super fancy, but anything with 2 BR/2BA is fine with me. I like to be in the city, so I don't think a house is an option most of the time. I got a comfortable jive when I stayed in Seattle for two weeks, so I'd be completely down to move to the area at some point. I don't really have to worry about a large family, so a small space is accommodating enough for me.

A cabin in the middle of the woods. Peaceful, relaxing, and nature is around me.

Only downside is I'll probably get murdered.

edit: oh you're asking about ideal home? well, anywhere far far away from my parents! oh and share it with a cute hubby, if only I could catch one :(

Either really big (like a castle) or a tiny little apartment. There's really on inbetween for me.

I've grown up with a pool and then the beach, so it has to be close to water I can swim in. I'm also living in a rather foresty area, so it has to have lots of wods for me to go hiking and exploring in. House wise, I like a good balance between small rooms and big open ones. 2-3 floors with a good number of bedrooms, maybe 4. No reason. Just like bedrooms. More room for beds. A good sized kitchen that I can walk around in and have plenty of room to cook in.

An enclosed porch with a big bay window for reading, a nice piano and a yard of some sort.

I'm not too interested in having kids, but I would like lots of animals. Maybe horses. Maybe not. But dogs and cats and turtles and birds and raccoons and pretty much all the animals you said you wanted when you were a kid.

My ideal home would be any that I can afford to live in without worrying that at some point I might not be able to. Preferably one as far away from my family as possible. My dream place to live would be Colorado. In a perfect world I'd also have a partner and dog/cat to share the space with. (Corgi is my first choice when it comes to a pet.) A smaller place would be nice. I don't ever want children, so I don't have to worry about getting a big house.

Absolutely relate to this ahh~

I like cozy places, so nothing too huge, just decent space. And also to be comfortable financially! :p

An apartment or small house, where I can display all my cool collections of cool stuff. Nothing too fancy, and has pretty convenient stores around me like Walmart, Gamestop, and so on.

I'd be happy with a shoebox apartment if it meant I could move out of my parent's house and closer to work (as in, close enough that I could ride my bike in). Unfortunately, that's not something I can afford right now. :( Maybe one day...

An apartment in the city. I've grown up in an extremely small town, lived in the mountains away from people my entire life and I'm getting kind of tired of it.

A small cave in the snowy mountains where people speak legends of 'the wanderer' and people look to me to slay foul beasts.

Or a house is nice too I guess.

My dream right now is to get an apartment with my friend. Doesn't have to be huge or spacious, just a nice and clean place to live. Ideally, we would live in Europe haha.

Where I' at right now is close to ideal. At least for having an apartment with my friend and lover.. I wish i lived in a tree house farm though...

I don't think I have an ideal living situation in mind. It seems that if I bought a house or rented an apartment, I would want to change as soon as I saw something better. Right now I would just like to be close to my family in case of emergencies but not to close so that I could have some space from them lol.

I think I have a "grass is always greener" mentality and I'm trying really hard to overcome it. :P

I'd like my own house. Preferably something medium sized, probably not two-story. In a nice neighborhood, kinda like where my parents live. A nice sized backyard because I want dogs :)

I've only lived in an apartment for about half a year, and I'm getting pretty sick of it. Especially since I live underneath someone who stomps around all the time and makes it really loud in my room. But I'm a college kid and this is the only other option I have besides living in the dorms again. And I'm NOT doing that. I'll live.

Moving back home to Russia with my partner and our cats to start a family. Ideally I'd like to live in Sochi or Kazan for the beauty and atmosphere, but an upscale penthouse condo in central Moscow could be lovely too.

I would like a small cabin in a forest or meadow. I'd want to be able to grow fruits & vegetable for myself, and have enough room for rescued horses, cows, pigs, chicken, sheep, & more to run around and graze. It would be nice if there was a lake or something nearby to go swimming in.
