i think learning the virgo harp is prohibiting me from meeting celeste?

this is just a guess (and probably a reach lol) but it’s weird that celeste is refusing to show up on my island since the start of virgo season!

what happened was my second character visited an island & got a virgo harp DIY from celeste, and since that’s my sign & i already have fragments, i decided to give the DIY to my main character to learn it. i was waiting for her to come for 2 weeks (3rd week now actually) i have plenty of shooting stars days too.... and she didn’t come! so around few days ago i tried with my second character to visit another island to get the virgo harp DIY, and she didn’t give it to him (this is my other question: would i only be able to get this next year?)

idk why i’m having a hunch. but does anyone who got the zodiac DIY from trading or something still get celeste?

I’m not sure about Celeste not showing up but you can only get one zodiac recipe per zodiac period so your second character can’t get another zodiac recipe until the next zodiac season. Not sure if you will get the virgo one if you talk to Celeste next year. You can wait or TT to the next zodiac period maybe and then talk to Celeste on an island that’s still in the Virgo period and see if you can get the Virgo one again?

Oh just to add, I have all the Celeste DIYs other than the zodiacs that we haven’t reached yet but she still shows up for me but just gives me star frags

oh that sounds like a good idea, though i feel like i want to wait as i refuse to fast forward through this month and my birthday just for a DIY. hope i found someone willing to TT back virgo period again.

yeah I’m not sure how the game checks for Celeste DIYs but worse comes to worst, if you see Celeste on your island during the Virgo period you can make a 3rd character temporarily to give it to your 2nd character

I don't know, but I recently TTed (just to hurry up a villager plot move) and I was so excited to see Celeste I spoke to her and got the Virgo Harp DIY. Then when I got to that point in normal time, she still appeared and gave me a DIY, just a non-Zodiac one. I had no idea knowing the Zodiac recipes could stop her from showing, but isn't she supposed to be able to show up more than once a month? Because in that case, that wouldn't make sense.

That’s a cool theory Celeste never shows up on my island and all I have is the Gemini closet because it’s my sign but even before that she wouldn’t come over so I’m not sure

I haven't seen Celeste or Wisp since the summer update wave 1. While I do tend to play more in the afternoon or morning, if I play at night I can never find either of them. The last DIY I got from Celeste was like... Cancer table or Taurus bathtub? I have both of those, but I haven't seen her in several zodiac signs. I hope I can get the virgo harp, as that's my sign, but I digress...

If you figure out your weather seed, you'll have a better chance of finding her. She only shows on days with a light or heavy shower. If you know when those will happen (other than Isabelle announcing it), then you'll be able to find Celeste much easier.

Yeah I believe Celeste has a chance of showing up a max of one time per week. She will not appear on a night when K.K. is performing (so if your only meteor shower of the week is on a Saturday then you're crap outta luck). And like @tajikey said she'll only appear during a meteor shower. She prioritizes heavy showers over light showers.

I got that recipe from her and she showed up again a few days (or a week?) later. I think you might just be unlucky. Sometimes (for me) she shows up super often and other times I'll have a big dry spell of Celeste sightings.

i honestly don’t know much about celeste or what triggers/prevents her from visiting but i’ve gotten all of the zodiac diys from trading (besides aries and taurus) and i’ve still had celeste visit - she doesn’t visit very often but she still shows up even though i now have all of the diys from her ;u;

Anyways, when Celeste was on my island two days ago, I was all prepared to get my Virgo Harp but she gave me a Star Clock instead...so I'm thinking you only get 1 zodiac DIY per sign period.
