*raises hand* Hello my name is Foxxie and I'm addicted to Animal Crossing.

So I just bought a third cartridge for myself... I had to... I have too many plans for just one town and 10 dreamies just isn't enough! That's six ACNL carts in one house, five of which I am actively managing right now :/

1. Bevelle - My 1st and main town. Generally fairytale themed, a good mix of natural play and TT-ing
2. Azura - My modern city WIP. Is currently a cycling town for all of my other projects, but eventually will be completed entirely by TT-ing and plot resetting and all that good stuff
3. Trexten - My elder son's town, which I am currently helping develop into a post apocalyptic wasteland
4. Emems - My younger son's town, which I am helping create into a Kiddie/Toybox theme

and now...

5. The new one... Archades II. My zen town to be (I haven't even opened the box yet). It will be totally natural, not TT-ing, no plot resetting and the only bells I spend will be the ones earned legitimately the "old fashioned" way.

6. is Nimbus, my Husbands Harry Potter themed town, which he manages entirely himself (aside from poaching villagers from my cycling town).

People with many villages... please tell me that I'm not alone and give me your stories about how you ended up managing multiple towns...

What urged you to buy more carts and start more towns... for me, I really wanted to experience the three main themes given by the game. Bevelle will be made over to be totally fairy-tale, Azura is my blue city and Archades is my natural, zen forest... I just wanted to have them all :)

Share your stories, people of multiple mayor personalities :D

I've literally just got a hold of a second copy of AC! Just deciding whether to use it for a cycling town or to start a new main town for myself (haven't even finished my current town yet).
Like you, I have too many dreamies, 10 isn't enough. I'm looking for a mainly wolf town I think if I go with it as a main town, then I'll convert my current town into an all deer town.....although I love the idea of a farm village so it's going to take some thinking!

Currently working on a one half zen/one half fairytale town for this one. My next I would like to be all one theme, I'm thinking completely fairytale with lots of flowers and natural PWP's. Then I can turn this one into a purely zen town. There's too much to do in this game just to stick with one town!!

Actually I'd quite like to know how you're managing so many towns!! Does it not get really stressful?
I think 2 towns would be my limit, as much as I would love enough of them to be able to obtain every single dreamie.
I don't think I'd cope with it....keeping up with villager requests and remembering what's going on in every one.
Do you have to write it all down or do you just remember?

I have five towns:
Cocoplum: Ancient Egypt and fairytale theme. Mayor Olive
Corvidae: Filled with my favorite overflow vilagers. Mayor Dorian
Misfit: Island of Misfit Toys theme. Mayor Drocell
Big Bear Village: All big bears and cubs. Mayor Goldie
Shika: All deer. Mayor Hazel
My daughter has three towns:
BonBon: no theme. Mayor Hiccup
Unknown: Over the Garden Wall them. Mayor Greg
New Home: Undertale theme homes and villagers. Mayor Frisk
And I STILL want another town, LOL!
You are fine. Nothing wrong with having multiple towns and doing something you truly enjoy.

I too have a problem. I haven't even finished Ivyvale yet and I already have a vision for a new town, not including my cycling town which is hard to keep up with as it is haha. There are just so many possibilities and not to mention how many dream villagers!

I'm currently playing my town & my hubby's town, since he's slacking on it & doesn't want to lose any villagers. I had a cycling town but I sold the cartridge. I'll get another one maybe this summer.

I was having similar thoughts! So many towns, so little time. I think some people play one town for a while before moving onto the next? I love all your town ideas though. For me, all the fun is in dreaming and coming up wiht town and house designs.

i have five carts as well, plus my sister's that she and I occasionally cycle on, so that's six. I only actively maintain three of them right now, and even though I don't have a whole lot of extra time, I still really love playing them and cycling as well. as long as you're happy, that's all that matters :')

also I love your husband's theme & town name, and nimbus is actually my kitten's name too!

I actually find it really enjoyable! In the five towns I am managing, there is only one duplicate villager... I think including my husband's town, there are only two villagers the same. Also as they all have different themes, each one feels totally different!

Bevelle is pretty much finished, so I usually just pop on there and check if anyone is pinging and have a little chat to everyone.
Azura is just for cycling right now, so it's not really taking any amount of work.
Trexten and Emems are just cosmetic projects for me right now, as my boys keep up with their villagers and I'm just working on making their towns pretty.

And I just spent three hours map setting for Archades and finally found a really interesting map, that had oranges as the town fruit (the only one we were missing!) and it even had Chester as a starter (one of my planned dreamies for Archades!). This will be the map I probably spend the most time and effort on, as it is new and I have big plans for it... but am playing naturally, so it will take quite a while to develop :)

I just can't think of any other way I would rather spend my free time right now... I work very hard for a living and it is nice to have something this enjoyable and relaxing to play :)

Thanks for the responses everyone :)

i have two towns lol... got a second one because i really wanted an all frog town with a forest theme!! i might get another town sometime in the future, i kind of have a plan for it..

I got my second town because my niece completely abandoned her DS. I felt so bad that her town was going to ruin that I cleaned it up and started taking care of it regularly. Of course two and a half years later it's an obsession, I use it for trading perfect fruit, growing hybrids and getting dream villagers. I also love time traveling in that town during the winter months to get my grass back quicker. I don't time travel much in my main town I pretty much keep that with the current date.
I did try to purchase another DS for my niece when she claimed she really wanted to play again. She saw how I cleaned up her town and wanted her DS back but I had put so much work into it that I didn't trust her with it anymore. So I bought her a new DS with a new Animal Crossing town, naturally she abandoned that one to when she realized how much work it took to make the town look like what you wanted. I would take over that town as well but I can't find the DS she was using. But as soon as I do find that DS I will have three towns and I'll make sure it has a completely different town fruit for more juicy trading.

You are definitely not alone there are plenty of us out there not willing to let a town go to waste or just wants to do different things in another town. I like to think we are just unique:) I've been playing this game almost everyday since July 2013, I think I'll throw a party when I get to three years this July. It is an addiction

Four real towns and a few extra for just growing perfect fruit.
The 4th one got added when I received a NEW 3DS for my birthday. It's called Reality and I'm slowly playing it when I have spare time. My 3rd town is stuck on May 19th since it's done.
Bought the 2nd town for friends to visit and decorate it with non orderable items.

My main town is complete but I still play it every day. It's my favorite town.

I have to agree about AC being relaxing (mostly anyway when I'm not tting to get somebody out).
Having this new town really appeals to me because I didn't know about resetting for villager plots or even take much notice of the map layout I was given. So I'm stuck with something I don't really like but an being kind of forced to work with.
Thinking if I like this new town better I'll just borrow my sons ds and move everything (including villagers) over on to that one and maybe keep this one as a cycling town.

Do you tend to use 2 ds' when you're playing? Or you don't mind and just switch cartridges?

We have 2 3DS XL's a regular 3DS and a 2DS... I use my own 3DSXL for my main games, but I use any of the other available ones if I want to play between two towns :)
