I've been working SUPER hard on making my town look good. I spent hours laying down paths, and trying to arrange flowers. Would anyone be willing to visit my dream town and look around? I completely welcome constructive criticism!

A few things about Townzvil:

I know there are apples everywhere. I've been trying to get rid of them, and they're so backed up!
I also know that there is a huge abundance of flowers. I'm currently working on breeding hybrids and organizing them.
My house doesn't have a theme at the moment. It's hard for me to be creative sometimes, haha.

But as a fun treat, there's some wrapped presents at the plaza for you to enjoy while you're exploring my town.

Thanks so much, guys! If you leave your dream address, I'll try to visit you back as soon as possible. I'm at work right now, so I'm trying to be discreet. Haha!

My dream address is:
4000-3999-7430

Again, thank you! I really could use some help here. <3

I will dream of your town right now, and then post a review for you.
It will help me on the way to the dreamer badge anyway :-)

I think it would be prettier if you lay down more paths :p
It's already nice, and the path design is really pretty c:

I actually like your house.. Especially the garden room with the Mario stuff.
Having the presents in your plaza is really creative! It's so cute :)

Can't wait to see next time when you're done breeding and arranging flowers!

Thank you! I just recently started laying down paths, and I really don't know what I'm doing. So far, I'm just trying to make sure everything is connected. Then I'll start working on getting all the grass back.
Mostly I've put paths around villager's houses that I love. If they don't have a path around them, then I don't really care if they move or not, haha. :]
Thank you so much for visiting, though! I'll work on my house a little more, and the paths. :]

Your paths are incomplete. They should ideally, go to each villagers home and ever PWP. I use paths to guide people of where and where they shouldn't walk. You need more PWPs too. Your town has a lot of space and potential to build but not a lot of use.

And holy apples.

I visited your town! I like the way things are shaping up around your cafe, and I think that more coniferous trees would be nice in the northern map half. I don't really agree that paths need to lead to every neighbor or PWP- personally, I think feels a little too "planned suburban community," which is kind of opposite to the rustic feel you have with the apple trees, the nice spread of villagers in non-linear form, and the plank bridges. There's a lot of space around each villager's house, so I think it would be cute for you to make little gardens for them, and a scarecrow PWP would be great amidst all of those apple trees.

In short, your town has a nice country village feeling, that I think you could develop further. Scarecrow, water well, water pump, windmill- I'd love to see these in your town! :)

Sorry for the delay.

Firstly, I very much enjoyed the gift wrapped presents around the plaza (I grabbed the coffee - it's been a long day!).

Secondly, I really liked your choice of path design, but I feel that the routes you have laid down do not flow through your town very well. I appreciate that you may have only put down path around villagers houses etc that you care about, but for me it just looks a little too disjointed. I would either accept the current villagers/PWPs and work around the current layout, or hold off landscaping until you have your desired villagers/PWPs.

Next, I see what you mean about the abundance of perfect apples. You do need to get rid of a few, but some can be kept in their current locations and used to line paths etc. In terms of flowers, I can see the effort you're putting into breeding hybrids. I believe you will soon have a large enough variety of colour/breed to compliment any landscaping you should choose to pursue.

Although I did visit your house, I will not comment on it here. I personally view dream reviews as a exercise focused more towards the town itself.

So in summary, I believe your town isn't quite there yet, but it does have huge potential. For me it's all about making various landscaping elements (flowers/bushes, path designs, PWPs etc) work together in a single space. For this reason, currently my favourite area of your town is around the Roost caf?.

Please remember this is only my opinion. Hope this helps :-)

I genuinely appreciate the visits and the opinions! I agree that my pathing is nowhere close to being complete. And you're right, I should path ALL of my villager's houses. Hopefully any new villagers will plot their houses there!
I just cleaned up a bunch of apples, and I'm waiting for more PWP. My villagers are being rude and not giving me any ideas at the moment. :]
I will visit everyone after work, and I'll let you know what I think! Again, thank you everyone! It means a lot to me. :]
Oh, and I LOVE the idea of giving each villager their own garden. Why didn't I think of that?!

I can't wait to see what else you do. And I feel you on villagers not giving PWP suggestions. My resident cranky has been sitting on the Zen Garden PWP for months and months.

My town has three problem spots that need development- in front of the cafe, the lawn next to the windmill, and the little spot next to the cliff wall in the southern map. If you decide to visit, I'd welcome constructive crit about those areas.

Don't bother with the houses- they are all half empty as I remodel them. :)

You made a good start with the paths, I like the pattern you chose. I think they need to be more even though, some villager houses have a lot more pattern surrounding them than others. Maybe concentrate more on perfecting the main routes you'd use to get around your town first.

Good idea, Scrafty! I did notice that some were larger than others, but I only did it because some houses were closer together. Like Julian's and Tipper's houses... Too close together to make a gap between them.
But I'll definitely see about making everything more even. I just don't want my town completely overrun with paths... Hmm. I need to spend more time working on it. Haha!
And Hirisa, I'll visit within an hour!
:D

Hirisa.
First thing I noticed were your paths. They are fantastic! I love the different patterns you used, and they flow beautifully. The path around the cube looks amazing! Almost like it's part of the PWP.
It feels very tropical. Everything so far is extremely organized, and I can tell you've worked really hard on this.
I love the location of your picnic area. It's so relaxed!
Sparrow just told me to be less serious in bed. Lawl.
I love the hammock!
The red couch in the upstairs room of the house by the train station... I want it. Haha
The empty space I see. The one somewhat between the police station and Lolly's house. I can see a few PWPs going there. Maybe a playground area? A zen garden? I know you said you wanted one. It would look wonderful there, maybe with a Moi statue? I think that's what it's called. Maybe some bamboo as well. I do love that it's mapped out and ready for the right project to come along. Good thinking ahead.
I really like the campfire next to the campsite. It makes it look awesome! And all of your decorated tree stumps are making me jealous. I'm now wanting to invest in a silver Axe or 2.
Oh! I just found the bamboo garden. I love it!!! Your town is a tropical paradise.
I adore your town. Now I want to completely scratch my whole thing and start over. Not the town, just the decorating. I love the river paths you have, and the stone walkways.
Overall, I think you've done a FABULOUS job. It's amazing, it really is.

Blondexo. You're next!
I really like your paths. They're beautiful, but simple. They compliment your town a lot!
I love what you've done with the trees and the bushes. Their alignment to each other is wonderful!
I love your flowers! It's going to take me a while to get that many hybrids.
I think you need more PWP. I like your town a lot, but it feels a little empty. I think it's off to a fantastic start, though! It's definitely got a lot of potential!

Mollymayhem, thanks so much for the support, and the ideas- I have some playground PWPs that I haven't looked at in a while, so I will definitely take a look. It also makes sense for there to be some kind of park near that beach ramp, good thinking there.

Also- that couch upstairs is a remade patchwork sofa. If you don't already have it, lmk and you can cat mine! Thanks again for looking at my town and sharing your thoughts. I look forward to seeing how your town develops- it has a nice feel already.

I'll check it out for you. I know the feeling I've been working on my town for a long time and I still lack hybrids and bushes.

Edit: I went through and some advice that I can give you is maybe lay down some more paths. Maybe plant flowers, trees, and bushes with a bit more purpose. I like that path that you are using but I'd like to see more of it. Also do you have any patterns in mind for the town tree area or train station? I think it adds more to your town when you cover those concrete areas with something that goes with the overall theme you're trying to accomplish. My town isn't anywhere near finished but if you want I can give you my dream code and you can go look around. I'm still planting things and testing paths as well. If you or anyone else is interested here's my dream code: 5400-3515-8043

Well, I'm in bed now. I'll definitely look at yours tomorrow when I'm back on.
I've found a new path pattern that I've fallen in love with. So know it's out with the old, in with the new. I didn't cover the areas by the train station, simply because when people come to my town to do trades, that's where we drop everything. I can maybe think of something around that area, though!
Currently I'm hoarding bush starts, so I don't forget which ones I plant where. Haha! Once I get 10 of each, I'll definitely be spreading out some bushes.
Again, thank you everyone for all of your help. It means a lot to me.
