So for a while I've the feeling I'm not really happy about my town as it currently is. I'm working hard to get all my dreamies and build my dream town but it seems not to work.

I've had this game for a while and in the beginning when I made this town I didn't think about future development or anything like that, and I feel like the map of my town as it is now doesn't allow me to create the town I want to have in the future. The placement of the Re-tail, Plaza, Town hall and river are not as I wish now I've a more clear picture of my future town nor is the placement of some of my public work projects.

It's sad that I realise this after such a long time. I've this town for about 10 months now and a lot of time has gone into it.

This bring up an dillema. I feel like I need to delete my current town and start over fresh. But there are some problems for me that actually makes this a dillema. At first I now have 5 of my dreamies and it would be a shame if I would let go of these after this long period of hard work to get them right? Also, I'm kinda reluctant towards the whole idea of unlocking, nooklings, shampoodle, the roost, ect ect. Of course there is also the badge part but I don't feel like that's really the problem for me. Biggest is still the idea of letting go of 5 of myDreamies and collecting them again.

The reason I ask this here, on the forum is because I feel like I can get good advise from you guys that maybe also have experience with it or just hearing about your opinion. I also feel like I can get the support (as idiotic as that may sound) to start over and still have fun with the game.

To go on with that last part. I've never had friends on Animal Crossing. I did have one friend on it, who is also my friend in real life but no more than him. I always felt like I needed to finish my town, make everything perfect, get all my dreamies and than, I could finally face some people on Animal Crossing and have social-fun on AC.

I would like to hear whatever you think. Thanks in advance guys.

The shops aren't going to be of much concern. You can TT them back.

Dreamies can easily be held by a cycler and picked up when you find a good map. No problems there unless you don't like the town tune of their old town thing (it's minor, so don't worry about it unless it really, really bugs you).

Given your circumstances, I'd reccomend you reset. But it's all up to you in the end.

you could give your dreamies to cyclers or people you trust on the site, same with items. i definitely recommend resetting. i had the same issue, reset, and now i absolutely love my town. it takes alot of work to get it to where you want but it'll pay off alot :)

Getting stores back isn't really a problem. Bells are relatively easy to earn, and you can always TT. Even without TT, they don't talk that long, actually. Plus, lots of people, myself included, will probably let you visit their stores for free to buy things. Items and villagers, as mentioned before, can be given to someone you trust to hold them until you restart. I did that when I first restarted. I gave all my Bells and items to my brother to hold, then picked them up later. Restarting isn't really all that bad, what with all the helpful people on these forums. Best of luck to you!

I'd recommend resetting. There are lovely people here who will hold villagers and items for you. Unlocking the stores can be done in a day of very determined time traveling. It seems like you're quite unhappy with your town, so I'd definitely say reset! Or if you can afford to, buy a second copy.

I think you should restart. Prolonging your unhappiness isn't going to accomplish anything. As others have said, there are many kind people to help and the option to time travel. The only thing that can't be helped would be the PWP requests, but it shouldn't be too hard.
