I need opinions about resetting.

Hi guys!
I am currently feeling the urge to reset. I didn't put enough tought on the layout, I ended up with a face I totally hate, I made mistakes with my villagers, I don't like my native fruit.

Basically, the only thing I like is the items I've been able to get.

I'm really considering resetting. It's not fun playing when you hate so many things! A fresh start should be good.
BUT, some things really concern me.

How much time does it take to transfer about 17 million bells and let's say a hundred items from one person to the other to hold while you reset?
How do you find someone you trust enough to do this? I have lost most of my trustworthy contacts, the others are on a very different timezone.

I don't want to reset without some money and the rare items I've acquired. I'm really torn as you can see.
Help is appreciated!

What time zone are you in?
I've found it takes about 15-30 mins to transfer that many bells one way.

If you're still looking to move items so you can reset you could use my cycle town. I have an abd in my house to make bell moving quicker and there's tons of space to drop bells and items. I have two systems so it doesn't take anything away from me to leave the gate open for you and there's nothing in town you could really mess up so I can arrange to have the gate open even if I'm not around, though I wouldn't be able to save for you periodically if that were the case. I delete fcs in that system immediately so you'd be the only one with access to your stuff. Let me know, pm or vm if I don't reply here within a day or so.
I'm est time zone, and mostly free weekdays and evenings, I work Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday.

Well, if the items are the ONLY thing you actually like from your game right now and you hate the rest I would tell you to reset. It happened a lot to me playing another games like Pokemon when I was a child, and my thinking was like "well, if I've been able to get all of this from 0, why couldn't I get it again?".

I'd say, though, to only save the very very rare and hard to find items. Leave all the rest and get them again. If not you may start a new town with less motivation to play, with that feeling like "I already have everything" (that's how I see it, at least).
