I need help with Nintendo Online and adding a second player

I added a second player to my game and have decided I want them to be able to play online. I cannot figure out how to set this up. I have a Nintendo Online account and use it with my main character. I have the family account, so I have room to add people, but I just cannot figure out how to add this second player. I have google'd it and looked through the Nintendo website, and am still stumped. Help!

The second player will need a Nintendo account, and you will then need to invite them via email in your Nintendo account.
