Ugh I'm so upset. So Kody said he wanted to move and I accidentally said OK Dx and so I forgot his move Date and then Isabelle tells me kodys leaving tomorrow and I'm like NOOOOO so I figured I could change the date a day back AND NOW HE'S GONE DX OMG HES GOOOOOONE DX

Yes unfortunately going back in time doesn't reset this :/ In fact, going back in time any amount of days always qualifies as going one in-game day forward.
I hope you can get Kody back from someone on the trade forums.
Yeah time travel can be very tricky sometimes, especially when you are concerned about whether your villagers move out or not. I don't dabble in time traveling myself, I try to keep away from it, but there was one instance when I felt the need to do it, and it was to re-grow the grass in my town. That's because the game offers no good alternative to this solution, except not playing the game for a month, which is ridiculous.
So I searched far and wide and then found a guide to this. Apparently what one should do is to wait until someone wants to leave, tell them to stay/leave, and then travel ahead 1 month, and afterwards back 1 month. And then you have to frantically search for someone who wants to move away.
Yep this has happened to me, Fuchsia's moving out today and at the last second I changed my mind and decided I wanted her to stay, but I already told her she was free to go and talked to her several times telling her that she could leave, to which she agreed to. At the last second (12AM) I was hoping to maybe try and stop her but unfortunately she wouldn't budge, no matter how many times I talked to her she never mentioned anything about the big move, and I even went to the lengths of creating a second character in hopes of stopping her. I spammed her dialogue until she wouldn't talk to my second character any more, but she still wouldn't mention moving away to me LOL. It was fun while it lasted Fuchsia. She's in boxes today but I guess even if I did stop her it wouldn't be really worth it, since i've found another uchi who I really like more than Fuchsia. I guess I just wanted to keep her for the nostalgia.
Maybe you can find a new jock that you'll really like too? i'm sorry about Kody though! I know he must've been one of your favourites. But that's what the game is kinda about, people move away in real life and it's uncontrollable so that's why I let Fuchsia move away in the first place. I didn't wanna keep her here longer than I thought I should've.
