Congratulations! The gold watering can is such a huge achievement. Totally jealous right now! Any tips on keeping perfect town status for the entire 15 days required?

I didn't even try. I just randomly decided to ask about town satisfaction with Isabelle and got it. My town has lots of flowers and I talk to every villager daily. Perhaps that's the trick.

I thought the game was gonna be really picky about the perfect town so that's why I thought it was gonna be tough.

I've had my town for an entire year+ now, and haven't gotten perfect status. It seems my vision of perfect isn't the same as Isabelle's.
In my opinion, it IS one of the most challenging tools to obtain.

I've had mine for over a year as well. I don't know what the requirements are for the perfect town. I wasn't even trying. I was just playing the game and decided to check in.
Congrats! I hope to one day get it since watering a million flowers can be a pain, even with the beautiful ordinance >.< I'm trying for hybrids right now so I have flowers all over my town I've had some success but I'm still working on it Enjoy your golden watering can and perfect town!

I have alot of flowers in my town as well. The golden can definitely helps with watering all of them. Do you at least have a silver watering can?I see you are just a couple days new here. Welcome!

Well no one has moved out and I did build a screen like the day after I got the can so I guess good timing xD

Not the thread owner, but I easily maintained mine with the Beautiful Town Ordinance. If you're not completely sure of how many trees and flowers you have and you achieve Perfect Status, be extra cautious to not go running through flowers or on a tree-chopping spree. Make sure you don't leave any trash on the ground, and keep an eye out for weeds. Personally though, throughout the whole 15 days for me, I didn't find ANY weeds, so I didn't have a hard time getting through 15 days after getting Perfect Status the first day. :3 And, personally, since there's that rumor that some PWPs down rating, I avoided having any PWPs in process during the 15 days, just to be safe.
I'm pretty sure you probably knew some of those things though; just said what I know in case you didn't.

I have been trying to get a gold watering can for my second character and even though I have perfect town status, no luck. Maybe its because I have had a few villagers move? I didn't know that was a problem. I did add the tulip topiary too. Yikes, I am digging myself a hole here. lol

the beautiful town ordinance practically does it for you
perfect town has like.. 4 rules. no weeds, 70+ flowers, 110-200 trees, and 10 public works in-town. if you have those, then youre guaranteed perfect status.

Oh wow, you got alot then! I buy fertilizer and saplings daily so I can get the gold shovel and axe. I have gold slingshot and can only. The rest are silver except my ax.
