I hardly ever play anymore, and I'm considering resetting AGAIN. This is my 4th time! and I want to stay committed this time..
Any tips?

Don't start playing until you have the perfect map. So perfect it has the right grass shape, rock placement, town hall colour etc.

Maybe you should stop playing for a while.. I feel like once you're trying to force yourself to keep playing a game, it's a bit pointless

I'm trying to pick up the game again at the moment.

Instead of resetting, buy another copy? Make another town. That's what some people do.

I already have 2. If I get another, my mother may flip.

I think I just died a little inside.

Well.... I guess you could restart again and try to get the most perfect town layout possible.

Try setting a specific goal. Try to get Dreamies. Write down what kind of theme you would like to do. Visit dream towns to get some inspiration. I find that having some kind of goal helps keep me motivated.

Also, I have a question. When you're in the train, and Rover shows you the maps, does he show you a cycle of the same ones? Or are they different every time?

They should be different every time but I have had cases where he showed me the exact same map at least three times. There are little subtle changes such as Retail where Town Hall is or vice versa.

Ah, thank you! ~

If you don't like the game anymore why try to force it? It might just not be the game for you anymore.

I didn't even know about the different town hall colors until today. xD Luckily, I have blue, which is one of my favorite colors.

For me, trying to make a perfect town is what's keeping me playing right now. And the fun of chatting with friends in real time all around the world. Once I complete my town, I'll probably play less, but I won't stop altogether.

If you forget about it then don't try to force yourself? People have different levels of commitment, nothing weird about that. There are games I play a lot for a while then go through a long period of not playing them then go back again.

You should also take a look at what you personally find fun about the game. If you're the more social type, do more activities with other players like going out on the island. If you're into designing stuff, make your own patterns and decorate your town and house. If you're into collecting, try getting dreamies, completing the museum, and so on.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with not playing for a while or forgetting about the game. That's normal.

It may also help to limit the time you play if you're starting to get bored. If you're getting sick of playing, play only for 30 mins or 1 hour every day and do things that are fun to you during that time you get. That way you won't get sick as easily and you'll have something left to do the next day.

I wouldn't reset my game and I don't feel the need for a perfect map either, I actually find it more challenging and fun if the map isn't completely perfect.
