Not villagers that are already added into the game, but brand new amiibo villagers. Just like using e-reader cards to move e+ villagers in their town. you can use the amiibo villagers and the amiibo villager will move in the next day. Isabelle will tell you that the amiibo villager has moved in. Plus, they cannot be asked to move to other town's because they are amiibo villagers. I think the villager amiibo can... I don't even know. But something AC related.

What if they made just some of animal amiibos, and added a "town arcade" where you activate the amiibo and played specific mini-games with the character as your sidekick, or you play against it, or something like doing island tours. If the animal already lives in your town, it would greet you in a way like, "Funny bumping into you here, wanna play?" and if not, it could say something like, "I heard you're a hotshot at (whatever game) so I came all this way to challenge you!"

I highly doubt they would, animal crossing new leaf is kind of an old game for them to add stuff in like that, plus you need the new nintendo 3ds to even use amiibo. It's a nice thought but it won't happen.

my thoughts exactly. it would also be time consuming to update a 3 year old game just for this one feature or somehow tie it into the game. not everyone is willing to upgrade to the n3ds as well.

Yeah and it would be costly for nintendo to do, they would have to make an update for the game, advertise for animal crossing users to upgrade to the n3ds, create the amiibos and other things. If you think about it logically it really would make no sense at all to create ambiios for animal crossing.

As much as I want another 3DS one with amiibo, I think they'll make it for Wii U if they do have amiibo support.
