I just adopted Muffy and she refuses to put her house in a good place. It's either she puts her house on the path to the park or in the area I'm planning to put a forest. There's really no point to this thread other than venting my frustration.

It's cool! Plot resetting is so annoying. It can get you really frustrated. I remember when I tried to plot reset Apple and she kept putting her house either in my little garden or right in the middle of the path between my house and the garden. It took me 3-ish hours to get her in a good spot. Just don't give up! Muffy will be in a good spot soon~

You can either keep going or try to make one of the spots work for you. o:

I'm forever going to dread it because of Muffy

I shall call it The Great Muffy Incident of 2015.
She is putting her house in different spots now, which is good

I've already spent an hour plot resetting her

Yea! I plot reset in my main town and the last time was so, so annoying! I ended up letting Agnes plot in my (non-perfect) fruit orchard. I don't plot reset in my second town and it's so freeing!!

Agnes is a cool uchi. This has got to be the longest I've plot reset for. I've heard of people doing it for 3 weeks

Plot resetting requires a lot of patience. I'm lucky if it takes an hour or less. Normally I'm plot resetting for 2-4 hours. Sometimes I even have to give up, set my clock back the following day, and get right back at it again.

villagers pls

I plot reset poor Bunnie for 2 hours before finally allowing her to intrude on Lobo's flower garden a bit. She killed a few trees and such, but Lobo has a little company now and he seems pretty chill with her.

I'm just glad I got her away from my Cafe. Everyone seems to love plotting their homes 2 inches away from it. I get my animals love coffee, but come on you lazy bums, it's a pretty tiny village regardless!

Yeah plot resetting is soooo annoying, but when you finally get them in the right spot it makes it worth it!! I plot reset a few of my villagers for hours straight and I was about to throw my DS... I don't understand how some people can plot reset for like a week!! I would give up on life

I only plot resetted with Carmen. I'm glad I did. She tried plotting in the middle of my orchards and in the middle of paths. I ended up plotting her in a so so spot. But I have to do this 2 more times for Cherry and Beau so wish me luck and patience.

Villagers are allowed to move next to the cafe, while Isabelle won't let us put a small streetlamp there. One of the reasons why I adore Isabelle, but she can annoy me a lot

Good luck, if it ends up anything like mine, you'll need it

Ugh, when I recently plotted ankha, it took about 4 hours //not in a row// so I know how you feel:(

Oh no. That must've been terrible

How long did you reset for?:o

I don't know. About 2- 2.5 hours. My head hurts now.

But it's worth it; Muffy's one of the only aesthetically acceptable uchis, and she's always been a favourite villager

Oh how much I hate that usually I just leave it. I just have to work around it. Chose which is better on a path you can work around or a forest see my point

Sorry for being a noob, but how do you plot reset??

Basically, on a day when you know there is going to be a villager plot (not a house, just a plot saying '____ will be moving in soon' or whatever it says) create a new character. Do NOT load your mayor. The second you load your mayor the plot will be determined, even if you quit without saving, the plot will be in the same place. Once you create a new character, walk around and see if you like where the plot is. If you don't, save without quitting, and repeat until the plot is in a good spot. Once you find a good spot create the new characters house by talking to Isabelle and doing what she tells you to do. Save and quit. Then you can delete the unnecessary character.

You can also place PWPs in the days before you know they'll be moving in to speed up the process. Adoptions have a plot the next day. Campers have a plots anywhere from the next day to 5 days ahead, I think.

I hope I helped
