If you quit without saving after he does that and go back in, you can get him to agree. It might take a few times. Or you can quit without saving and then ignore him until he moves.

People can have their opinions on villagers. They can dislike and like what they want.

That said, I don't understand the hate on villagers myself. I think people are really cruel to ones who's appearance they don't care for :/ It's pretty depressing. I mean, how would it be if they were actual people? Or if you even gave a pet no attention because it wasn't "cute"? It just seems quite cruel.

People can like and dislike what they want, but there's no reason to insult and be rude.

Tbh this is a game where appearances are always come into play though, i mean what else is there to divide villagers over? they are all the same robotic model with the same scriped dialogue, and so the more unique appearances and cute looks are the only way they can be chosen
Though i do often grow to love the more "ugly" villagers, except the gorillas, i have a serious grudge against them from the gamecube days
