i find it funny how...

I love the inclusion of items and holidays of other cultures... I've actually learned quite a bit from looking up various clothing items, masks, and such. I don't know much about Lunar New Year, but it's big in much of Asia, and since the game is from Japan it makes sense for it to be a holiday. I actually wish there were more to the event.
actually Japan doesnt even celebrate Lunar NY fun fact! but since they're in Asia that makes sense

i hope we get more items, i think they had candles for hannukah and kwanza but i wonder what'll happen for buddhist and islamic holidays
Yes I’d absolutely love that! I don’t think it would be ok to make a big NPC-including holiday out of traditions like this but I’d love to have more items

Personally, I love the chance to learn about other culture's traditions! I've learned so much about Japanese culture from video games, it's neat. And, while I don't celebrate Lunar New Year (which... I believe is Chinese, not Japanese), I don't mind being wished a happy one from those who do- and I always love the little bobbleheads!

And their versions of Easter and Christmas, while I've grown up celebrating both, are the watered down, commercial, everyone can enjoy versions. No Jesus or religion- just colored eggs and stockings! Personally, I enjoy these versions a lot. I've always thought those holidays in particular have two versions- the religious, and the generic. And ANYONE is welcome to enjoy the generic.

But, seriously, any holiday in Animal Crossing, I will celebrate and love. Give us "International Flush Your Toilet Day" and you bet your bum I'd be decorating my island for it 😝
