Finally found one today amongst my red roses. Been playing from the start and was determined to grow all my own flowers. Had to restart the growing process once because I screwed up. Unfortunately I didn't figure
out I made a mistake until a month in. I was so shocked to finally see those blue buds... lol. Now if I could just get a darn purple pansy...my home flower no less...lol.

Wow congrats!! I havent managed to breed one even in nl. I still havent even gotten all the easier flower colors yet in nh. I feel you about puple pansies as i havent gotten one yet either.

Im not sure whats going on with my pansies. I have the five white ones started from seeds and they have only produced one blue one in over a month. Seems like the first step should be the easiest. The second step I have gotten 4 reds but with the odds what they are it looks like it will be awhile...lol.

Congratulations! I haven't even dived into rose breeding yet - there are so many variations and paths to keep track of! I'm trying to do everything else first.
I feel like I get the most hybrids after a big rain. Makes all that watering feel pointless. Like the pink rose that popped up in my completely untended rose patch on my 3rd level...

@Pintuition Same here! Hyacinths are my native and I had like a huge patch of 15-ish orange flowers for a month before a single purple showed up. Getting enough for the hyacinth lamp was grueling. And now I can't stop making them. They're all over my house.

awe congrats! it takes some real dedication to try and grow everything on your own ^_^

Congrats to TC on the blue rose! I'm closing in on my first blue rose. I have about 20 hybrid reds going, and a sizable "losers bracket" including a 2120 black rose which is as close as you can get genetically to a blue rose. I can see the end in sight.
