:( In my previous game I never allowed my villagers to move. In my reset town, I actively worked to get Pashmina out and both she and I were indifferent to the move.
Fast forwards to very recently.
I decided to try different villagers and to see if I could fulfill my daughter's wishlist by allowing move-outs. My town is full and someone on forum wants to adopt Skye. Next time she pinged I agreed and she was so relieved that I was so understanding. On move-out day she thanked me for supporting her. I felt good. Same scenario with Yuka, except she was glad I wasn't going to create a scene. bye-bye Yuka. I felt good.

Anchovy pinged me today and told me it was his dream to travel the world tasting all the flavors of food. I'm fond of him but I wanted to hold to my promise to let go of my villagers and try new ones so I told him yes.

He Started CRYING! @.@ omg what have I done?

I used to be dead-set on keeping all my villagers like you, until I came to the TBT. When I let Lionel move, he told me that he had hoped that I would tell him to stay. ;.; It tugged at more than one of my heartstrings. However, now he's been given to someone who loves him, and I got one of my favorite villagers. It's worth it in the end, even through the guilt. Hopefully, you'll find someone for Anchovy! ^^

I didn't even know that they could do that! Why would the devs program the villagers to ask and then be sad about it. Evil - that's just evil.
