I don't think you're a fake, New Leaf was also my first Animal Crossing game. But just because you didn't start playing back when it first started or something doesn't make you a "fake fan" or anything ridiculous like that. If you truly do love it, then that's a fan to me. x) You shouldn't have to feel like you're a fake fan just because the first game you played of a certain series or something was a newer game instead of an old ero me, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. :3 The most important thing is that you enjoy playing the game. ^^
