Hello!

A few days ago, I started getting a message when I pressed R and L to take a picture, saying that I couldn't take more pictures. I assumed it meant that my SD card was full. I transfered every picture from my SD card to my computer using the Micro SD Card Transfer Tool. Then, I erased the pictures on the SD card, but it didn't fix the problem, I still can't take any pictures. Any explanations?

Thanks! :)

Is your game a digital copy?
Just thinking, I've had sd card problems before, maybe if you could switch it for a different one to try it?

Yes it is, I didn't think it could be related to my problem, but it's a good idea. :) I'll try to take a picture on both AC:HHD (which is digital) and my other NL game (cartdrige). Thanks :)

Ah....any luck with that?
I only mention it because I wasn't able to download digital content for a while, it turned out to be the sd card. I was all about to get a new ds and all sorts, was only by chance I decided to swap out the card and that worked.
It's just the only thing I can think with the message you're getting, it's something to do with its memory.
I hope you manage to get it sorted. I love taking photos on the go in my town :)

Just seen your last message....
That is bizarre. Is there any reset option for the ds in the settings bit? I'm not on right now to have a look myself

miiverse isnt very good for pics, as you can easily get banned by, well, anything

The compression isn't as bad as the in-game screenshots. If you care about your screenshots much, use Miiverse to save them to your album there then download them onto your computer through the website.

Off-topic: I'm in a Facebook group chat with people who care about this magical Steven Universe stuff, so your signature, avatar and name make me want to scream. But hey, I've got nothing against you.

I still can't take any pictures.

Try formatting your SD card after copying everything off. As long as all the files are put back on just as they were, I think your 3DS shouldn't care. This could be worth a shot since it could clear up any issues. I'd recommend doing a full format which will zero out all the data.

Formatting your SD card is dangerous. You may lose all your save data and you have to be able to put it back without the data being corrupted.
I wouldn't recommend it but it is up to you.
Also save data from Animal Crossing (if your main town is on a digital version) cannot be put back onto a 3DS. People tried backing up save data for animal crossing and it didn't work... The same rule goes for Pokemon games.
If you do format your SD card you will lose your animal crossing town on the digital versions of the game.

Oooh, I forgot that it had wacky backup-protection stuff. Thanks for pointing that out! There must be some way around it though, right? They can't expect you to never want to (or need to) format your SD card or upgrade to a larger size or faster speed.

Thanks for all your answers. :3 I'll try a few things once I'm home. I don't think formatting will help in anyway, because I don't believe the problem comes from the SD Card... Anyway, if anyone else has any tip or has been is a similar situation, please help me xD

There is no way to get around it from what I know but that is something that I would contact Nintendo about.

I fixed it! No formatting of the SD card was needed.

I just went on the camera app and tried to take a picture. I didn't work and it told me that my SD card was full of pictures/videos (which is not true, there's nothing in it except files for games...). Because it's "full", it couldn't save new pictures and told me that I had to go into the settings (the ones in the camera app), and ask for my pictures to be saved in the console instead of the SD Card.

That's what I did, and it was basically telling me that I could only save 300 pictures on the console's memory... So I changed the setting once again, to save my pictures on the SD card, to see if it would fix the problem. For no obvious reason, it finally worked and instead of telling me that my SD Card is full, it says that I can save 3000 pictures on it.

Weird, I know. xD I'm glad it's now fixed. :D

I reckon it's just because your picture storage is full, try deleting a couple. Hope this helps! :)
