I cannot find a Surgeonfish.

All I get are horse mackerels and butterfly fish. I've been in search of them since April 1st. I have all other April introduced fish and insects.

I don't know for sure, but maybe they come out later in the summer? if not, i have tted to try to get villagers out and caught one in june by the pier so maybe its a newly pier fish? i don't really know

Keep fishing along the beach, you'll get one eventually! I don't TT and can confirm it's possible to get one now.

You're probably competing against other fish that appear "all day" like the surgeonfish.

I think you might be confusing sturgeons for surgeonfishes. Sturgeons are the ones that spawn in river mouths. Surgeonfishes are from the ocean.

they're a very similar size to the easter eggs so they might be harder to get right now, after april 12th I think they'll spawn more . I got one 2 days ago so they must still be around to catch

Yesterday I was about to post how I couldn't find a surgeonfish for the life of me and to ask if anyone else was having this problem. All I reeled in were horse mackerels. But yesterday evening I finally managed to catch one of the little guys. I was under the impression they weren't that rare, but I had more trouble catching a surgeonfish than I ever did catching a stringfish, lol.

I got my first one just a couple of days ago, and another yesterday, so it's definitely possible. Just keep on fishing.
