I need to know if there are others out there like me.
How do you cope!

My beach is nearly filled with random things, I know I don't need these things but... I do.

That doesn't make sense.

My house.. oh my house.
There is are so many things in my dresser I have no more space, on all of my characters.
My main house is literally filled to the brim, if the rooms are completely filled to the point you can't get through the door it says 'no more items aloud in room' (something like that)

Same goes for the outside, I have so many things on the ground, everywhere.. everywhere. I think the game has trouble placing gyroids and fossils for me.
But I still find myself visiting Re-tail and buying things for outrageous prices just because I feel like I need them and I'd be missing out if I didn't get them.

If there was an AC hoarders show, I would be on it for sure, anyone else here as bad as me?

I'm not a hoarder, but I tend to keep all my unorderables 'just in case'. I mostly sell all my orderables.

I did have this in the back of my mind like "That will be easy!" but half the time I'm not by my computer and the app on my phone doesn't tell me whether it's orderable or not so I just drop it on the ground deafeated.

That, and I think, OH I'll buy this and make the set and sell it! Woo go me!

but then I put it on the ground never to be heard from again.

if you can order it from the catalogue then sell it because you can get it again
keep the rares/unorderables/etc unless you have the money to buy it from someone else

Your pain sounds very, very, VERY familiar.

I try to sell the orderables, but they stack up.

I've stopped digging up the fossils and gyroids (though I dug up the lot on Bunny Day)

I keep punnets and punnets of perfect fruit next to my town tree, on more than one game.
And all this because I couldn't decide where to put another character, even if I wanted to.

Because of the embarrassment, I have not updated my dream address in several months.

Someone who understands! You know the pain then of people saying 'your town or mine' umm yours please because mine is a disaster and you might steal my junk! Paranoid face

it's not that easy to just 'sell everything' I honestly think we have a real problem here!

xD

Go through your stuff and sell the stuff you can re-order and the stuff that you aren't using. Keep all the rare stuff

even when i only keep unorderables, i always run out of space!
i almost have all gyroids collected, they take up almost all my museum storage (as well as all the fossil miniatures)
i'm collecting streetpass items and keeping them stored on my mayor's letter storage
i have a bunch of unorderable furniture sets on my mayor storage and i had to make 2 characters for storage space (one stores all the gracie clothes, and the other's house is full of gracie sets and spare villager pics)
god i really wish there was more storage space in this game, it's painful if you want to keep all unorderables

I agree, I think that dressers should be able to store different things PER DRESSER. Not your dresser and your fridge connected...Make sense? I just think that's stupid

I have requested the other players' town to save my own embarrassment!

I love my villagers with their hodgepodge haphazard housing, but using 'floor storage' for furniture is and has been a massive problem which I doubt I'll have sorted out any time soon.

And maybe I should just throw out the spare villager pictures, but every single one of them is awesome - and I had most even before Blanca came to town *pride emote*

I know the feeling. My storage is PACKED and all my museum rooms are full of junk that I'm convinced I will want/need very, very soon. I hoard mostly clothes. I should probably do some spring cleaning and clean out the clothes I never wear...

My museum is filled with Nintendo items, and I don't even want them. At first I was buying fortune cookies everyday, but I havent bought one in months. I feel like if I sell the nintendo Items I'll regret it though..

I think you should just sell the nintendo items. If you need more, there's lots of other people with 327021731 that you can buy them from.

I think you're right, I tink I'll keep 1 museum room full of the ones that look nice and sell the rest. I have doubles of nearly everything.

This is a very relatable issue. If this is really becoming a problem for you, then I recommend you just sell all your order-able stuff off, and then either putting your unorderables in the museum exhibits or to other players for bells.

You should use the internet browser on your 3DS to check stuff. :D It's surprisingly decent!

How do you cope!...

I have the book, "Animal Crossing: New Leaf?Prima Official Game Guide." In it includes items that can be purchased/re-purchased.

To de-clutter the clutter, referring to a guide of items which can be sold at Re-Tail (to free up space) may be of help to you.

The items one should keep are what cannot be re-purchased: Downloadable Content (DLC) and Gulliver items are two such examples.

This is how you may cope. Spend one given day of game-playing being committed to unloading the heavy load of redundant "Animal Crossing" merchandise.

I've found a lot of Gulliver items to be reorderable. Doesn't stop me from hoarding the heck out of them!

Yeah, I didn't realise how bad it was until I ran out of space to put anything down ;~;, I'm giving some of it away and selling the rest
