I adopted Bunnie, but the next day Diva moved in?

I went to a town to adopt Bunnie, everything was fine. I even talked to her again after the first "I need a town to move in." I had to reset my clock because it was a day early. No plot was set up on the original day, though. I walked around and saw Diva's house plot instead of Bunny. Is it possible that I got her from a void and she overwrote Bunnie?
