Hybrid producing pattern

I'm also super confused about this cuz some people say you should make your flowers touch diagonally which worked for me when I was breeding hybrid lilys but with my roses it worked better having them in L shapes or squares

Yes, most people put them diagonally.
I find that only watering 2 sets of flowers (4 individual flowers) gives me better results.

I set my gardens in diagonal patterns, mostly in stripes, diamonds and hearts, with red flowers outnumbering other colors. The more reds there are in the pattern, the more likely you are to get hybrids.

Do you have any pictures of these gardens? I am having very small luck with my hybrids.

Thanks for the tip, I am struggling with this also. Time to find some more red flowers!
