How to wave up at a visitors plane?

I saw someone do this and it was awesome.. im not experienced with connecting much cause i usually dont have wifi so... was just wondering how people do that!

I did the same thing yesterday. Well, I hosted and before I had a visitor, I quickly sat in a chair near the fountain. I don't know if they saw me or not. I really like that your villager waves at people when they're coming to visit.

Unfortunately, we can't. It's a cutscene visitors get when they visit our island. I wish we can do it too

I did the same thing yesterday. Well, I hosted and before I had a visitor, I quickly sat in a chair near the fountain. I don't know if they saw me or not. I really like that your villager waves at people when they're coming to visit.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if you do the wave if you're sitting down? Hopefully someone else can confirm, but I remember flying overhead while visiting another island, and my host was seated near the entrance and didn't react.

I made a seating area by the entrance for nothing. Now I guess I just have to stand for minutes on end while waiting for visitors. OTL

I'm assuming that the visitor flyby is the same as the one you see when you're returning to your island after visiting someone else, so if anyone wants to carefully craft the perfect flyby view, you could record your returning home and make sure you're always in that area when someone is visiting.

Like everyone have already said your player automatically does it. The person that’s coming to your island can only see it though.

Seems like people have already answered but just a quick note; you have to be standing up to do this. If you're within the camera shot and you're sitting down then your character won't wave.

It doesn't work while sitting down unfortunately
