Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask about this, but do anyone here know how to make your nintendo scan the amiibo card for Happy Home Designer? I have my nintendo right beside me, but I can't find the "Click-here-if-you-want-to-scan-the-future-amiibo-cards" button.

An old 3DS doesn't have amiibo capability and will need an adapter. The New 3DS has a sensor built into the bottom screen. You would only be prompted to use an amiibo/amiibo card once you have loaded the game it is used for.

Amigo Cards will use NFC technology (like how a smart phone can pay for things in a supermarket).
New 3DS's have a built-in NFC reader.
Old 3DS's require an NFC reader that will be released with the game :D
