Sorry if this is the wrong section.

But I was wondering how people go about processing trades for villagers.
I have a couple animals as my dream villagers and was wondering is it possible to move in all these animals into my village ? Do I always have to have at least 9 slots for me to take in any one villager at any one time ?

You need less than 10 villagers, yes. You can have 8 villagers.

In regards to actually trading you just need your villager to be in boxes and someone can come to your town and pick them up or vice versa, you can speak to a villager in boxes in someone else's town :3

oh thanks for that!

So how do people usually go about trading a villager for bells?
I've been wondering how that goes. Let's say I offered a certain number of bells for a villager, how does the process go?

Do I go to their town and drop the bells ? How do I drop more than I can hold if it's really expensive?
And after dropping I just go to the villager that's in boxes ?

Yeah, they usually make an auction or whatever selling the villager when they're in boxes or they know the date they're moving and they can TT to it :3

You probably have to take several runs to the post office depending how much it is. It's sometimes up to the OP to let them see the villager in boxes and then pay or pay and them talk to them xD I'm not too sure so please feel free to correct me

Say you offered 1mil. You'd go back and forth from the ABD in the post office until all the bells are dropped.
And then you would go to/the host would take you to the villagers house. You'd go in and talk to them. An option will come up, letting you say to the villager 'move in' or 'don't move in'. Press move in, and then the next day, a house plot will appear for that villager. Hope this helps c:

Do they always move in the next day?

I kinda wanna control where they lay their house.
Wondering if I can do that new town residence thing and reset everytime so her house finds a new location..
But I don't want to lose her in the void.

Trust me, resetting does not void her. Just a new house placement :)
