How to ruin flowers??

Do they get ruined when you walk on them or do you have to be running?

The flower buds will only be destroyed when they are ran through. However, they grow back in a couple days.

You can trample them by running but walking shouldn't harm them. They do grow back after a day in New Horizons. If you want to remove them you have to dig them up with a shovel.

Running knocks the petals off of them, but it doesn't kill them permanently. The petals will grow back.

Oh somehow a flower ended up on the ground next to the other flowers and I thought when they got ran on so many times they would turn into just a flower on the ground... also I was jumping on them over holes while working in the garden

Naw, you got nothing to worry about. Flowers are pretty resilient little buggers in New Horizons.
