The same way that you find your villagers in their house crafting, and they share a recipe with you, sometimes you will now find your villagers cooking, and they can share food recipes with you. Does that answer your question?

I believe the villagers will pull out a stove, even if they don't usually have one displayed (the same way villagers will put out a crafting table even if they don't usually display one).

If you have access to Happy Home Paradise and you have built the Restaurant Facility you can go into the Kitchen room and ask one of your villagers who you assigned as a "Chief" and when you talk to them you can get a new cooking recipe from them daily.
