How to make grass grow back?

Place flowers on the areas you're focusing on growing the grass back. I've heard it helps quickly.

When I let my villagers move out, I would plant flowers around the edge of the dirt area where their house used to be. Then simply avoided walking inside the shape. Planting flowers on the dirt and watering helps, but if you walk over the dirt to get to the flowers, it will negate the effect. Best to just avoid the area. Let rain and time heal the grass. c:

another option is on a villager's move-out day, tt forward a month, the villager is gone and the grass is regrown. then tt back to the move-out day, no one else will have moved

I plant trees in the empty plot and flowers between the trees. This is fastest for me, but it's probably because it's the only way I can force myself to walk around the area!

In general, every few months, I wait for a villager to ping and deny their request. I TT forward a month, play that day normally to be sure I catch any pings, and then TT back to the present. It costs me a haircut and a few apologies to my villagers, but the grass looks great again.

Plant flowers over the dirt patches - a whole field is good! Make sure to water the flowers and everyday, and don't run over the grass you're trying to grow back.

grass regrows more/faster depending on how often you start up your game as well. yeah.

Plant flowers! I don't think planting flowers, by itself, does anything but it does keep you from running (or even walking) on those paths, which helps them regrow.

Do this:

1. When a villager pings you an asks you to move out and you deny their request, you can time travel as far as you want and no one will leave.
2. Time travel a month forward, then a month back. Traveling backwards only counts as one day.
3. Now you've got beautiful grass again. But your hair will be screwed up and without beautiful ordinance, flowers will die.

only TT on the in game clock for this, not the 3ds clock (that's really only necessary if you need to go backwards after not playing for a while to fool the game). A month is usually enough to regrow the grass, and your town is always going to have a few bare spots

After I deny a ping and time travel, I do always just play that day in the future. It's just like any other day, and I could get a new ping. Ping or not, you're good to go back to the present. I usually go a month into the future as well as EmGee said, using the DS clock, though going farther is fine. You do have beautiful town ordinance?

You can also just wait for winter. First of all, you have like three months of not being able to even really see the grass. Then, too, the snow will really grow your grass back quick. Grass wear is shown as bare patches of dirt where there isn't snow, and when it's snowing a lot, you will see those spots disappearing. Just stay off them when that happens.

Also, going ahead a month will get your grass back instantly. Don't need to mess with going a whole year.
