I'm trying to get a villager to move out but I don't know how. I've heard of ignoring them, but I've also heard that ignoring them doesn't affect friendship level (and friendship level affects how often they'll move out). Any tips?

I've seen various videos about how you can not talk to them and/or fence them in so they can't leave their homes, but I'm not sure if those things work for sure. I would love to know the answer to this question too. Thanks for asking it, as I was just wondering the same thing.

The only thing I've seen recently is that because friendship levels are taken into consideration, a villager with lower friendship levels will ask to leave more. How often "more" is I don't know :/

If you're not time traveling at all, you basically have to just ignore them, and hope they eventually get the move out thought bubble. In the same sense, if you're not time traveling, and you see the thought bubble on some villagers head that you don't want them to move out, don't talk to them. If you do, it resets the thought bubble "move out" time, and it will take another week or two for it to come again.

If you aren't opposed to time traveling, an easy method is: Day 1, talk to a couple of villagers, then save your game. Time travel 1 month in advance, and make sure it isn't a Saturday (villagers can't want to move out when KK is there). Look for the thought bubble. If it's not on the desired villager, save / close the game, and TT +1 day ahead (don't talk to the villager if it's not the one you want to move out). Repeat until you get the thought bubble on the desired villager. :)

Hmmm...Interesting! I was wondering about that as I recently had Stitches move out and I was good friends with him (or thought so as I talked to him tons and gave him gifts constantly). I never did get his picture though, which I'm still a bit bummed about, but oh well lol.

I think its all based on luck. I think having low friendship level does help, but at times it could take a while. I had a very low friendship with Sylvia and she left after a month, meanwhile I pretty much have ignored Nate for almost 2 months and he still won't leave. I also had Rosie ask to leave the other day even though I have the highest friendship with her. I would say keep your friendship level with them low and hopefully they will eventually ask to leave.

Okay, thanks! I'll try that!
