How to get a villager to move out?

I have a villager that I really don't like. They are unattractive and I really want a dreamie but I can't get it cause he moved in! I need a quick way to kick him out and it would be helpful if I don't have to time travel more than a week. Please Help!!

in the past people have recommended to just ignore the villager you want out but honestly i find that befriending them helps them move faster. the ignore method never worked for me

i know two ways you could do to get them to move out
1. be an ass
-once you've introduced yourself, ignore them
i don't think using violence actually works. (hitting with net & pushing) but if it does, go ahead

2. treat them nicely
-talk to them
-build a relationship with them
-it's more likely for them to ping you that they want to leave

Or, if you have an amiibo card or special amiibo figure, you could invite a special character in and kick the one you don't like out
