How to fix the npc visitors

Not sure I agree... I would rather have 2 per day than having half of them removed and no new ones. The game would get boring pretty fast

The way they are now is perfectly fine. No complaints even though I don’t care for a few of them.

Some could be combined (e.g.: Kicks/Label merging with Able's). I'm a fan of the pop-up shop concept but there isn't much rotation in inventory which is what disappoints me most. I'd look forward to their visits if there was a more varied/unique selection.

Agree with this. Maybe move Leif to once a season for the currently-in-bloom bushes, and have Saharah be every other Saturday until 6p, then go with KK. Kicks and Daisy Mae could also co-exist...

I think it should be possible to have a visitor on the square and another one wandering around.

Also, why does stuff only happen on the east side of the square? What's the other side for? Surely not just for those random benches or stools that appear occasionally.

I like the recent fix they incorporated, I think I'm fine with it the way it is now. I got Flick today and CJ the other day so I could finally sell the 1000s of stuff I hoarded for them both.

I do kind of wish there was a chance to have both a visitor in the plaza and a visitor that isn't in the plaza at the same time, but the recent change is definitely a step in the right direction in my opinion.

Well, I can think of nine, excluding weekend visitors and visitors that can appear alongside other visitors, but to be fair, the OP said "like 10", so I don't think they necessarily meant there are exactly ten:
Saharah, Gulliver, Gullivarr, Label, Kicks, Leif, C.J., Flick, Redd

Group them into two. Those who sell stuff, and those who don't. Leif, Saharah, Kicks and Redd for Group 1. CJ, Flick, Gulliver/Gullivarrr and Label on Group 2. This leaves an extra day since there are 4 pairings.

Celeste and Wisp are nighttime visitors and are grouped separately.

First I will be honest and say that for me Leif,Label and Kicks are pointless and if they never showed up again i wouldn't mind. That of course wont happen so best thing is to make them permanent shops. Like in nl add leifs garden shop onto the nook shop. Add Kicks and Label to the able sisters. That cuts 3 out of the rotation right there. Sidenote: when they bring back katrina she and saharah could do a fortune teller/carpet shop combo lol. I also think that more than 1 visitor a day is a good idea. i see no reason why redd and leif cant come on the same day or kicks and gulliver for example. The main ones for me are Redd, Gulliver/Gullivaar and Saharah(her less than the others). I have so little art and a good chunk of that was from a friends town. redd really needs to show up more. Heck id be ok with giving him a more permanent shop too.

I like the way it is now; I like having a lot of visiting characters. It gives the game variety. The only thing I guess I would say is perhaps there could be 2 visitors per day instead of just one. But I for sure would not get rid of characters!

Have Label and Kicks be part of the Able Sisters, and make Leif a permanent part of Crook's Cranny.

Then put K.K. and Brewster in the Roost inside the museum, and get rid of all that wasted space in front of RS.

Personally, I think more should be able to open shops- after all, Mable starts as a visitor. Why not a shoe store or a gardening store like New Leaf?
To be honest, I'm actually willing to bet that future updates will give them the option of opening shops. Maybe the same update that gives us more Nook shop upgrades? ...Maybe even this late summer one? (I mean, we can dream )

But I disagree COMPLETELY with removing them- if anything, allow multiple visitors on one day, but I can't think of a single visitor I don't want anymore
