How to find other Players islands?

Hi!

just got a switch and animal Crossing! And seems like a fun game! I’m wanting to explore other inlands but seems really hard to do so! How do I find random other inlands to go explore? Seems to be no matchmaking

To visit someone's island, they need to be either on your friend list or give you their Dodo code. And of course their gates have to be open.

As of yet there is no way to randomly visit other people's island. You have to externally look for people (discord, forums etc.)
