How to connect online on old DS? (Need help)

So I wanted to play online on the DS again via Wiimmfi. The problem is the DS is old and doesn’t support modern internet security so I am unable to connect to my Wi-Fi. I tried getting around this with a hotspot on my computer, but that didn’t work either as that’s also locked behind a password.

Does anyone have any solutions to this?

The only way I’ve been able to do it is get an old wifi router that has the older type of security (WEP) which are all pretty old by now unfortunately.
