How to catch a snail?

My town is raining today and I accidentally shake a bush and one snail drop out. But I still have no idea how to catch one. I am practically hitting all the bushes with my net or do I need to shake it and wait it fall on the ground to catch it? And will path affect it when it drop and gone?

Lol not shake it but run and hit on it instead xD and the bush will shake a little~

I always accidently run by snails and scare them off. You will physically see the snail just chilling there on the bush. You have to quietly walk up to it and hit it with the net, like you would any other bug.

I only see one every now and then. And not every time it rains either. So I would assume they're sorta rare.

Urghhh I have trouble catching stinkbug and snail right now lol and giant trevally. I only caught popped eye fish by accident the other day while fishing up easter egg >< snail come out!I will give you good home promise!!

giant trevallys are easy. I catch them on the island all the time! They're medium to large looking fish shadows.
