I see alot of people with huge shops with a lot of streetpass items like pinwheels, balloons, and ice creams. However, I'm just sitting here with the only prize I've ever gotten: a cyan balloon. And how do so many people streetpass that many other people so quickly? I know NOBODY who plays ACNL and I take walks with my 3DS in my pocket. I don't get any people who streetpass'ed me. Heeeeelpppp

Thank you for reading my rant owo

I've had my 3DS since November and I only have 8-10 streetpasses and I've even taken it out of state with me and walked around with it. :c

You either have to have friends who play ACNL, family members who play ACNL, live in a population-dense area, or go to conventions, I guess. I guess you could also get a second 3DS, a second copy of ACNL, and just StreetPass yourself.

I feel your pain. I totally feel your pain.

My son has his own DS and plays so I get ALL of those items from him, every time we streetpass each other I go and get the item he is giving away. I've had my DS since Feb and have only Steetpassed one other person who plays.

Conventions! Seriously, if you attend conventions (Like I will be in August, heck yeah Bronycon), take your DS. But I also carry mine everywhere, everyday, all the time, and you'd be surprised where you find streetpasses. One time I was sitting in a Wallgreens parking lot and I streetpassed someone. Even just in my car, I drove past someone and the green light came on.

I've had about 30 streetpasses, all from when I went to go see the Symphony of the Goddesses with a couple friends. AKA nerd convention holla
Unfortunately, not many people had ACNL. I ended up picking up a voided Renee, but no balloons or anything came my way. Just a bunch of houses that looked like the people hadn't played since June.

Well, it's more of a matter of going to different places with people that have the game. I can go anywhere with a good amount of young adults and get a ton of street passes just from that.

I also went to NY for vacation last year and got tons of goods from that

My husband and I streetpass each other constantly! And I live in a college neighborhood, so I can usually pick up 1-3 streetpasses a day if I remember to bring my DS XL with me.

I feel your pain. So far I have 0 streetpasses in Animal Crossing because I live in the middle of nowhere, and not many people play Animal Crossing let alone own a 3DS in New Zealand....and man I want to get all the badges, 1000 streetpasses for gold, not possible for me.... I do have another 3DS I haven't used yet, but I will need another copy of Animal Crossing if I want to get streetpasses for my game. But its cost is $79.90NZD here for Animal Crossing New Leaf. No thanks. <.<

My friend gets most of his streetpass from his daughter, once every day. He's currently in Japan at the moment, and told me yesterday he just got 40 streetpassing going out of lunch at a mall food court. O_O

I see now why that badge is so high, its country origin....

I just hope I get lucky when I travel to Auckland, Singapore, and the Philippines sometimes soon. :/

The first few months Animal Crossing came out was probably the time to get streetpasses lol. I remember constantly having half of the people in my streetpass queue have Animal Crossing as their last game played. Nowadays people're playing Poker mans and stuff.

For streetpassing in general...McDonald's has that hotspot thingy where it stores the last person to enter, then gives the next person to enter that streetpass. Or something like that. Maybe don't eat there everyday, but just step in, wait for the green light, then step out and be all like "Eh, changed my mind - I'll just cook something at home..." to be as inconspicuous as possible lol.

Also, if you're in college, grab your 3DS and hang out wherever the Computer Science majors are :p. I'm a CS major, and I get a full load of ten every time I go to lab or lecture. Probably too late since break has most likely started, though.

I've only gotten 3 streetpass balloons. The other stuff friends have had to give me. Are there any Nintendo zones, like McDonalds or Starbucks near you? Those are really good for streetpasses.

I get a TON from taking my 3DS to cons with me~ I get more than I can keep up with. xD;

But for balloons/ice cream/etc, you need to streetpass the same person repeatedly. So friends who play/significant others/family/your other 3DSs/etc are your best bet. Or coworkers. Or people you share a commute time with.

LOL. I guess its only Japan is made for something like this. As I said before. My friend got 40 streetpasses for just going out of lunch, while he is in Japan. It's crazy. :/

True. I don't even leave my room on base here and I get about 15-20 Streetpasses a day. If I go out on the trains, my entire Happy Homes Plaza will renew... all of the lots.

Cons? You mean like changing the time or something on another 3DS, or changing a 3DS around, or using a wifi or router setting to signal like streetpass (My Friend told me about this one, its possible, hasn't tried it out yet though)?

Cons are conventions! Usually anime, video game, and comic conventions have lots of people with 3DSes. I just saw that you live in New Zealand, so I'm not sure what the convention scene is like over there, haha.

Yeah, I understood after I posted. That's why I removed it. I was thinking something like a software LOL, fail. Sorry! XD

Sorry, I mean cons as an abbreviation for Anime Conventions. I go to some pretty major ones (between 23,000 and 87,000 people), and there are TONS of people with their 3DSs out.
